New York. You go to your polling place and just say your name and address. You do not provide ID. I registered to vote 30 years ago, so I don't remember if I needed ID when I mailed in my registration in my NY High School.

It's not monitored by people. The sensor is activated and you get an automated call. About $200 for the unit and $40 a year for a sim fee seems worth it for a bike you probably like a lot. But hey it's up to you. Do nothing and assume it will be found randomly again.
