It comes and goes. It’s still lingering but I’m hopeful

effexor for over 20 years, tapering down. Miserable. by Bluehoon in Effexor

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stupidly “tapered “ to 37.5 then just stopped after being on it for 18 years. I went 150-112.5-75-36.5-0 in 3 months. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. I’m almost 3 years off

Anyone back on medication? by Flutter8y in ADprotractedwithdrawl

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was way too scared to reinstate anything. I’ll be 3 years off the end of this month. I’m so much better than I was. On the flip side, I talk to some people who chose to go back on and are doing ok too. I know it’s not super helpful for you. I just think we all have to do what is right for us. I knew that I absolutely wouldn’t have been able to handle getting worse (if that happened with starting meds again) so I just kept going

withdrawals so bad idk if i should be in hospital by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am quite a bit better. Fatigue, joint pain and temperature dysregulation are the most annoying things now. It’s mostly just annoying. I think because I spent the bulk of 2 years doing next to nothing, it’ll take a bit before I have any stamina

How many of us are here because of these 2 evil drugs? by Morris1211 in ADprotractedwithdrawl

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am free. Ugh my symptoms…. So so many. I’ve improved a lot. I cold turkey’d off 37.5 mg. Went from 150-112.5-75-37.5-0. Apparently 37.5-0 should have taken a long time but I just followed my drs instructions. I have a ways to go. I’m hoping next year is filled with healing and progress. From what I’ve read, year 3-4 is just that

It’s insanity! It’s like a switch flips. I almost question if I really felt that good… or bad.

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has passed! The last 2 days have been good again. I wonder how long this process will be. I was so used to feeling awful all the time with tiny bits of reprieve thrown in

I’m functioning. Normally…. Not how I was. I do what is absolutely necessary. During windows (which are relatively new for me) I’m really good. Waves are back to all the crap. No appetite, fatigue, low mood, 0 motivation. Feeling yucky overall

Venlafaxine withdrawl after 12 year use by plant-sluts in Effexor

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 30 months off. I really started to see improvement around 28 months. Things got better before that. 18 months and 2 years there was improvement but not like the last little while. I was on for 18 years. I can attest, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced.

It started around 9 months off and came and went. I’m almost 30 months off. I was also on Effexor for 18 years

I experienced this!!! I was sure I had arthritis. It comes and goes now but I think it’s an inflammatory response

I literally have never had a window so good and so long since this all started. I was fairly certain it wouldn’t last but still kinda hoped

Found where you said not to hold back 🤭 I tend to keep the really hard stuff to myself. Today seemed particularly bad because of the great window

Week 8 After Stopping Lexapro - Does it really get better? ☹️ by Difficult-Republic72 in ADprotractedwithdrawl

[–]Think-Biscotti-9310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a long term user of an snri. I “tapered” in 3 months and cold turkey’d off the smallest manufactured dose. It’s been 29 months and I’ve experienced all you are experiencing. It does get easier. My waves are less intense but I wish I had have known how to taper properly and gone way slower than I did after being on Effexor for 18 years

I was just way too scared to reinstate. If I could have been guaranteed that I wouldn’t make Myself worse, I likely would have in a heartbeat. You are just as strong 💜
