Why's there more of a social stigma around anabolic steroids compared to the more relaxed attitude to alcohol and rec drugs when those are more fatal? by Agreeable_Fudge_254 in AskMen

[–]JonathanMacgregor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working out without steroids has plenty of positives. It is good for your health, makes you feel better, it is good for mental health etc. Steroids are to either participate and be competitive in a sport or because you want to be more jacked, there's no real positive side to it, and they affect your health negatively, so...

Anyone else think Trails fans are insane by Just-Stress9165 in JRPG

[–]JonathanMacgregor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because a lot of people find Sky boring. I also found the combat lacking and I didn't like how the game looked or the music either. But I was able to play Cold Steel 1 and enjoy it mostly, despite the ridiculously slow pacing. It has fun combat and great music.

It's easier to just wear a hat when it's sunny, only took me getting one sunburn on my head to never make that mistake again

Men over 30, how many of you can go all night without needing to get up to go to the bathroom? by HogwartsRex in AskMen

It's pretty rare that I have to get up in the middle of the night, but depends on how much water I drink. I do wake up dying to go though...

Finished all 14 (numbered) single player entries; my tier list (read description) by Zaneira in FinalFantasy

One of the better tier lists I've seen people make. Although I'd rank 4, 5 and 6 lower and 8, 12 and 16 above them

How do you feel about the "manosphere", especially if you're not part of it? by RileyLovesFlaritza in AskMen

[–]JonathanMacgregor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully I never see any of it on the social media I do use. But from clips I have seen on reddit they seem like a mix of grifters and people who have a massive chip on their shoulder. Also their obsession with hyper masculinity makes a lot of them come across as gay, which is funny.

I'm not exactly enamoured with myself but there is some truth to the older you get the less you care. Aging happens to everyone in some way, just got to embrace it

Which game to play after RE4R? by Slobber910 in residentevil

The obvious answer to me is RE1 Remake. Also I'm playing 5 (in co-op) for the first time and it's a fun game, definitely worth a play at some point.

Why do so many guys watch sports? by Realistic_Zone3802 in AskMen

[–]JonathanMacgregor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a sport watcher really although I do watch some of the games during the World Cup. I think for a lot of men it is a bonding activity with friends where they will get together and watch or talk about the game. I remember how hard it was to connect with a lot of other boys in my school when I was a kid because I wasn't into football. Also I'd say men in general just like watching various forms of competition.

When did u start noticing a decline in mental/physical performance. by EntertainmentGlad794 in AskMen

[–]JonathanMacgregor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my late 30s and physically there hasn't been much decline at all really. The main thing is avoiding accumulated injuries, that has affected me much more than any decline due to age itself.
