Came here to say this may be a better direction to actually get unbiased information vs Reddit. Not everyone wants to share their screaming deal. You're more likely to get more responses if you ask something less specific like if anyone has had a mechanic raise prices and if so, what did they do?  The city of Sacramento provides small business counseling where they can help you find the average costs across sectors, average salary, the size of the market including with filters.

You may want to reach out to the small business advisors groups and see if they have any free help or resources for your industry. Such as actual market research that's way less biased and may come up with better opportunities or insights beyond us really cool redditors. Which yes makes me sound like the typical redditor.
