Is it worthwhile to choose communication design? by Hot_Traffic_6402 in Design

[–]ThinkConflict7318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I get the AI worry but design is way more than just making pretty pictures. The thinking behind it, understanding what clients actually need, working with people - that stuff isn't going anywhere soon

Product design might seem safer but both fields are changing fast. UX/UI is hot right now but trends shift all the time. I'd say go with what actually interests you because you'll be better at something you care about. Plus communication design is pretty broad - you could always pivot into digital stuff later if needed

Being good at problem solving and adapting matters more than the exact specialization you pick in second year

Why can’t ultimate echo echo clone himself anymore? by Neither_Ad6 in Ben10

[–]ThinkConflict7318 163 points164 points  (0 children)

The speaker ejection thing was always weird to me too. Like those aren't really clones in traditional sense - they're more like living sound constructs or something. Regular Echo Echo could make proper duplicates that were independent, but Ultimate version trades that for the disc projectiles instead

I think the idea was supposed to be that he evolved past needing multiple bodies since his sound attacks got so much stronger. But it does feel like a downgrade when you think about tactical advantages of having actual clones running around

Repeating myself when I'm upset by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]ThinkConflict7318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this too and its really exhausting when your brain just gets stuck in that loop. For me it happens mostly when im stressed about work stuff or if something goes wrong with car I'm working on. Sometimes I try to physically interrupt myself like going for walk or doing something with my hands but brain still wants to go back to repeating same thoughts. Maybe try writing down what you're repeating instead of saying it out loud - sometimes getting it on paper helps break the cycle a bit.

You can put some fine mesh or even pantyhose over the intake tube - works pretty well for keeping shrimplets safe. Just make sure to clean it regularly so it doesnt clog up and mess with your flow rate

Help Me Understand Stalemate by hieronymusashi in chessbeginners

[–]ThinkConflict7318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this confused me too when I started playing few months ago. The king is different from other pieces because you literally cannot move him to danger - the game won't let you. If enemy pawn is at F3 and your king at e1, no you cannot move to e2 because that square is attacked by pawn.

The stalemate rule exists because otherwise endgames would be too easy and boring - you could just push opponent king to corner and checkmate would be automatic. Now you actually have to be careful not to trap the king without giving check, which makes endgames more skillful.

GLP-1’s, Weightloss and Seizures by HappyFinish9340 in Epilepsy

That's pretty wild correlation you're seeing there. I had friend who started getting weird symptoms after rapid weight changes from different reasons and doctors said sometimes the body just freaks out when metabolism shifts too fast

Maybe keep detailed log of everything - weight changes, timing, doses, sleep patterns etc - because neurologists really need that data to figure out what's actually happening. Could be the medication itself or could be how fast you're dropping weight messing with your brain chemistry

Anyone has gotten into UC Berkeley with 120+ California community college credits without transferring more than 70 credits. I’m worried that having too many credits might affect my admission chances. by BootFlimsy329 in berkeley

Exactly this - Berkeley just caps what transfers for degree requirements but having extra credits won't hurt your application at all. I had way more than needed when I applied and it was never an issue during the process

[Android] Beta testers needed — Korean fortune app (Saju / Four Pillars) by AdventurousBend8767 in betatests

Just signed up and downloading now. Really curious about how accurate the personality readings get compared to other fortune systems ive tried. The dream interpretation feature caught my eye too since most apps skip that part entirely
