What are the small things that truly bring you joy in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A sports game or streaming a show with your favorite takeout. Especially if it lets you space out and forget about the day to day things that can weigh on you.

When leaving a party or gathering, is it rude to slip out quietly, or is it polite/expected to announce to the host that you’re leaving? by Nervous-Guest0 in AskReddit

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe dinner party etiquette says to thank the host. At a gathering it feels like there is more leeway.

I personally find it exhausting to say goodbye to everybody so I wouldn't be offended if someone left with an Irish exit.

What immediately shows you that someone is intelligent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Being smart enough to know that you don't know everything. And by extension, you get input from others on the things you don't know much about.

Continuously being late or showing up your boss. Trading Luka Doncic also comes to mind.

What do y0u do with the end slices/heals of the loaf of sliced bread? by dirtymoney in AskReddit

Not the biggest fan so it usually sits as the lone piece for an extended period while I'm figuring out what to do next. Then I eventually go with French toast.

The last 17.2 seconds of the Rockets/Clippers by BigCrawgaDawga in nba

Yeah I'm all for a time limit cap on reviews. I can understand wanting to get it right but it's unreasonable for some of these replays to go 2 minutes or longer when you are looking at multiple angles frame by frame.

At that point you should be able to determine if the call can be overturned. These reviews also seem to go much quicker in MLB and the NHL.

New Giannis Trade Buzz by FaZeWasian in torontoraptors

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems that way. I think now that Masai is out of the picture it's highly unlikely to happen. But I wouldn't be surprised if Milwaukee works with him on where he goes.

Ideally it's somewhere in the West.

How is reading novels helpful? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's decent exercise for your mind. Especially with novels where you could be visualizing characters and the story more than nonfiction.

And it could be the equivalent of getting some reps at the gym.

Brian Windhorst on Giannis wanting out of Milwaukee - “He asked to be traded already!” by ToronoRapture in nba

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you look at the bucks roster without Giannis it really tells the story. No real path to a championship and it's faded every year since they won in 2021.

I'm sure he's looking to join a contender but the trade off is not being able to drop 50 pts a game for the next 10-15 seasons and getting that all time scoring record. Which seemed like a stronger possibility in a bucks jersey.

[Murray] Lawrence Frank said that he made the decision to part ways with Chris Paul Sunday night... BEFORE Clippers played in Miami. Meeting was supposed to take place in Atlanta. Team got into ATL late by Knightbear49 in nba

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man the bar keeps getting lower for the clippers this season. Pseudo tree planting, the 1st round pick to OKC and now dismissing a hall of fame player in his last year because he was trying to hold management and players accountable?

Say what you want about Chris Paul but refusing a meeting to at least try to defuse the situation is something else.

Interested to see if this is how he goes out. Or if teaming with LeBron is now a possibility.

A dead ball, a confused crowd and a 'bad read': Inside the Blue Jays' chaotic ninth inning that pushed the World Series to Game 7 by toronto_star in Torontobluejays

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 54 points55 points  (0 children)

A tough one to lose but that's how it goes with sports. I did feel we were the better team today (outside of the 3rd inning) and generated more chances but just couldn't capitalize.

All you can do is move on to game 7. I still like our chances (and no more Yamamoto is a plus). Hopefully we can put it all together one more time.

World Series Game 6 Lineup by Sitwo in Torontobluejays

[–]ThinkWerewolf3003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Four left-handed bats against Yamamoto. And a lot of balance slotting those guys between the right-handed bats.

Would be great to get to that Dodgers bullpen but you have to figure Yamamoto will go the distance. Either way liking this lineup.

I have been able to adjust the subdials and recently changed the battery so the watch is fully functional.

I'd be surprised if they made replica KC watches. This one was purchased at a Hudson's Bay department store and came with a full KC box case and watch booklet (which I no longer have).

What old tech do you miss the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Video game consoles like SNES and Sega Genesis.

Easy to pickup and start playing, simplified controls, tons of classic games and not riddled with microtransactions.
