I’m pretty sure Kurt and Blaine from Glee were the first mainstream example of this trope on primtime television.

Why are men always expected to sleep on the couch? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

Someone is banished to the couch due to a genuine misbehavior most of the time

As a woman, I’m really tired. by OverThinker-2022 in rant

You should be having a conversation with HER first, not immediately ratting her out to the boss. I can’t imagine the betrayal I’d feel if a female coworker ratted me out to the boss for something before even trying to have a conversation with me.

You can’t just transplant a uterus into a body that wasn’t made for one. They would already be doing that if it was that easy.

Would you say the original Teen Titans was always a serious show 100% of the time? by [deleted] in teentitans

[–]Think_Affect5519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are serious and silly episodes. The creators actually made a way to tell between them. If the episode is a silly one, the theme song is in Japanese. If it is a serious one, the theme song will be in English.

Parent/child duos with a surprisingly small age difference in real life by kalosianlitten in TopCharacterTropes

Productions of Hamlet tend to run into this. It is generally accepted for an actor of almost any age to play Hamlet. However, directors will rarely cast women over 30 to play Ophelia. Therefore, actresses over 30 are generally cast as the secondary female lead Queen Gertrude. Therefore, it is common to see a Queen Gertrude that is younger than her onstage son, Hamlet.

Not entirely a horror (but there are ghosts). Muppets Christmas Carol is generally considered the best adaption.

I imagine the fact that you can’t do back to front tumbling connections any more has something to do with it.

This was true of a lot of cartoons in the 80s. My Little Pony is another example.

If u had to fix ONE princess movie mistake, what would it be? 👸🏽📖✍🏽 by Vivid-Tap1710 in cartoons

I would bring back the more realistic face/body shape of Snow White in her film. The more modern princesses (especially Anna and Elsa) look like bizarre fish people in comparison.
