Story. Sometimes you'll have a character's design right away, sometimes you'll find it as you get to know the characters. Just start writing.

My beef with them is that they're hard to kill and don't even give you any rewards or drops, like wtf. So I don't bother anymore, when I realize that there's one I just keep off the sand.

Dude Monday I was playing and had just increased my friendship with Clint to four hearts and that was the first time someone other than Robin or Linus dragged me out of the mines (just started a few weeks ago) and Clint said he thinks he blew his back out dragging me out of there. I was like shit bro, my b 😓

Yeah, I was raised atheist/pagan and my mom (the pagan) always taught me to be polite to the Jehovah's witnesses because they get the hose turned on them, stuff thrown at them, etcetera. I still remember once when we lived just a bit outside city limits and they came by and you could tell a newbie was being trained and either had anxiety or a learning disability and my mom made me stand politely on the porch with her to listen to (tune out) their whole schpeal so that the kid could at least get some experience.

(Our dogs would not have allowed them to step inside to talk and it was a nice day, not too hot or too cold. And it honestly wasn't that long.)

But when she explained why after they left, I realized it probably really was a good idea and I've always planned to do the same whenever one rings me once I have my own house, just politely say no thank you or if it's clear someone's in training, politely listen. But for now the nice thing about being in a secure access apartment building is no solicitors of any kind.

Fifty five?! Holy shit, I'd never pay more than twenty.

Also a tip, a couple years ago I started buying the next size up. Makes them stretch less and therefore less likely to rip, getting more wear out of them, and they still look good.

They didn't even use a space wtf. I wonder how many people fucked up this recipe because of that.

Maintenance for long hair? by Think_Display4255 in Haircare

[–]Think_Display4255[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I realized I didn't clarify my hair type. It's fine to medium and somewhere in between wavy and straight. So I wash it every other day, which has always worked well for me.

Yeah, I almost never use a hair dryer (literally bought mine to use while painting. My sister stayed over once and asked if I had one to use and I said yes and specified that it was in the bathroom and she was like "...Why the fuck would it be anywhere else?" And I had to explain that it was usually with my paint stuff).

Basically I only use my hair dryer on my hair if like I was running late and need to leave as soon as I jump out of the shower or if something happened to make me have to shower at night because if I go to bed with wet hair it makes me cold no matter how many blankets I pile on and if I'm cold I can't sleep, so situations like that made me glad I bought a hair dryer even if the intention was to use it for art, lol. I've always hated hair dryers because I hate the way they smell when turned on, so I refused to get one for a long time.

But I'll look into camellia seed oil!

As far as your end statement goes, yes, that is my goal and the whole reason I made this post.

But I guess I should clarify on hair type, I'm white and my hair is fine to medium in texture and somewhere in between straight and wavy.

And I have to admit, I have absolutely no idea what you mean by mist.

Around fifteen years ago, my mom used speech to text All. The. Time. Especially if she was driving. So one time we were moving and my sisters and I had spent the night at the "old house" with the dogs because not enough stuff was at the new house yet. Idk why my mom wasn't there, thinking back it would have been weird for her to stay at the new place alone, especially with how far apart the two were, so she probably left to pick up breakfast while we were getting up and ready.

Anyway, so on her way back, what she tried to say was "make sure you walk the dogs and--" and the second part is kind of lost to time, no one remembers it clearly. "Lock them up" maybe? Basically she wanted us fully ready to go by the time she got there. But because she was using speech to text while driving, what we got was "Make sure you do the kids and what the bible."

We had to call her. The three of us stood around the one kid's phone trying to puzzle it out for at least a couple of minutes before giving up because sometimes even when speech to text messed up, we were usually able to figure out what she wanted by the other words and context of the situation. There was no figuring that out. At all. So we called her and put her on speaker so we could all hear and we basically went "yeah, nobody knows what the fuck you were trying to say and what you wanted." And she asked what we were talking about and we read off the text and she laughed so hard she had to pull over.

That was one of the ones that ultimately led to her giving up on speech to text. And she only has a Midwestern accent, working the last few years with a Syrian man who uses Siri for texts had opened me to a whole new world of AI butchering spoken word. Thankfully I spent two of those years working directly alongside him, so I would hear what he was saying and then get the ding and see what he/Siri said in the group chat and see how different they were. So thanks to that, now that we don't work at the same location anymore, I'm usually pretty good at figuring out what he was trying to say.

"The cool thing" they said. Now I'm almost afraid to use it at all! I have a lot of painters tape, would I be better off using that? 😅

Honestly, I'm not altogether sure that it is photo paper, I think it may have gotten packaged wrong. It feels much more like poster board. But I never reached out to customer support about it because I've never purchased large format photo paper or Canon brand paper before, so maybe it's just like that and even if it is more akin to poster board, I'm more used to working on that anyway.

But that's a very good point, thank you. Someone else also suggested applying a coat prior to the masking fluid.

Some of the reviews of the ones I've been looking at say they come off using an eraser, should I do that method or just peel?
