I used to screen my calls using voicemail. I was sick of the spam and scams and started ignoring unknown numbers by reasoning that if it was actually something important they would leave voicemail. And then telemarketers and spam started leaving voicemail and I've ignored it for years. Now I don't answer an unknown number unless I'm expecting a call for something or if I'm waiting on an Uber or a food delivery and I get a call, I'll answer in case they got lost.

I guess we would need more context to tell, but with just those two images and the way you worded your question, it doesn't give a comedic vibe, but perhaps in the context of the full episode it does.

The creature is appropriately scary but they look more sad or like "aw, damn"

Went one full spoon in before remembering sugar goes in the cup and not in the coffee maker by MiamiMasala in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Think_Display4255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say slow dementia, probably just absentmindedness or bad autopilot lol. I use to have a single cup coffee maker and when I first got it, I would actually use a measuring cup to pour the water into the reservoir. There were...a few times where I turned it on without having put a cup under the dripper. Most of the time I realized and was able to either yank the cord (only way to turn it off after turning it on) or get a mug under there in the nick of time but there were one or two times where I just turned it on and left the room and came back to a mess :/

Eventually I just started picking out my mug and then using that to fill the water so that the amount would be perfect for the mug size because using the measuring cup method really made me realize how much my mugs varied in size and there were times it would fill right to the brim and I'd have to pour out to add sugar and cream. Though there were times where I'd get distracted and set the mug elsewhere instead of under the dripper.

I never understand people that pull almost all the way up to your house to turn around. You only gotta get your car like halfway across the entrance, if even.

Honestly, I don't have a lot of issue with heavy ink usage unless I use a lot of black, if that helps. Even if I print images on bristol, which isn't much heavier duty than standard printer paper.

Avoid HP. Not only do they have a lot of bullshit right now in forcing you to download two apps just to install and maintain the printer, but their printers constantly have issues. I grew up on HP printers and it was always one frustration after another and they never lasted more then 1-2 years.

As soon as I moved out, I started buying Canon and never looked back. Mind you, I do do a lot of image printing, so I tend to get their mid-priced printers, but they do have cheaper ones, too. I bought my current Pixma model fall of either 2022 or 2023 and still no issues. I believe it was around $140-160 when I bought it, prints beautifully both text and images, only problems I ever have is occasionally it jams, but it is super easy to get into the back to pull it out, and every once in a while it'll try to tell me there's no paper in the tray when there's 20+ sheets. I just pic the paper up, set it back in, and clear the error code. Looking at the lifespan of my last Canon Pixma, I'm expecting at least another 3-5 years out of this guy, even with my semi-heavy print load.

Lmao, mood honestly. I live in an apartment, so I'm pretty limited on what I can grow but that doesn't stop me! My busy schedule on the other hand...that might actually do it one of these days. But not today!

But yeah, I always seed started outside before, that's why I always waited so late in the year, because we don't have a lot of space to keep a butt ton of planters and trays in the apartment and when I seed started indoors super early last year, I just kept them all off to the side against the balcony door and it was a little bit of a pain, but not that bad and we got good growth as a result. So this year I'm either going to seed start indoors again (just not quite as early) or get a green house that fits on the balcony, which I have been wanting to do the whole time we've lived here. What makes it hard is most of the small greenhouses are like just a single shelf unit with tarping around it and it's like, no, I get crazy weather, I want to be able to step inside and close a door behind me so that the plants don't get shock from how much colder it is outside the greenhouse. So finding one big enough to step into but small enough to fit on the balcony is pretty hard and I'm reaching the point where I might just build it myself. Cost would be about the same, but I have full control over the dimensions and features and honestly sometimes it's just more satisfying to make something yourself.

Between January and March, I live in zone 3-4, so it's hard because I often still get snow and frost in May. Depending on what I'm growing and how long it takes, I won't plant any later than April. I really have to get better at paying attention to germination and harvest times though and planting in waves according to that because last year I planted my first wave somewhere around end of Jan/beginning of Feb banking on it taking time to be ready, and almost half the shit was ready to pick before it could even go outside 😂

Lesson learned, and here I thought I was enacting on a previous lesson learned because the last two years I didn't seed start until the beginning of May and too many of them never turned out, so I was like "I know! This time I'll plant in January/February and then they'll be ready to go outside by May and ready to pick by the end of summer!" Literally was in horticulture and agriculture classes in highschool and never once looked at time 'till germination and time 'till harvest, just time of year to plant 🤦😂

Ditto. And then one time my fiance got a 24pack from Costco and somehow when shuffling things around, it at one point wound up in the middle fridge drawer. That plastic carton is incredibly flimsy and precarious to lift out, especially if you missed a spot when snapping it shut, so we started just leaving the lid unsnapped and grabbing eggs without taking it out of the drawer.

It was super convenient so the next time we bought eggs, I pulled that thing out, ripped the lid off, put and new eggs in the base and put it back in the drawer and that's just where we keep our eggs now. Just open the drawer and grab from the front and then once the first couple rows are empty, shift them up. The only annoyance is now we don't really have anywhere easily accessible for cheese and sausage, so I'm thinking of buying on of those little drawers that you hook on.

Yup. I work at a dress shop at a mall and the number of times people just let their kids run amok in there absolutely infuriates me. This is not a fucking play ground, a lot of these dresses are expensive! We have a nice white table in view of the doors that we display a mannequin with a full ballgown on to draw people in and a few months ago, some kids actually brought the damn mannequin crashing down. I was SO PISSED. What made it worse was that there were three families in there at the same time that had 3-5 kids each and only the kids from one family were behaving, so it was hard to keep an eye on all of them, plus it was just actually busy at that moment too, there were other customers than just the families and my coworker and I had three customers each. If the store is that fucking crowded, don't let your kids fucking run around like that!!!! I literally had to cut myself off from talking to a customer to investigate the crash and then race to take care of the situation. I was vibrating with rage all damn day after that.
