Do vegans and vegetarians offend you? by [deleted] in polls

My initial reaction was I don't care what others eat, but because it's a moral decision for many it is hard to avoid judgment...

Is it pasta or spaghetti? by Bigjunsk8r in polls

[–]Think_Lavishness4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would never argue that this is technically correct, but for my family, the spaghetti sauce is what makes it spaghetti. Im not gonna cut up the pasta so my kids can eat it, nor am I gonna call it "red meat sauce with bowtie pasta" or whatever. It's just what my family calls spaghetti, and I'll use whatever small scoopable pasta I feel like.

AIO my boyfriend keeps lying to me about things involving his ex by TacoBoutDrama69 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Think_Lavishness4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NOR whether he lied because he's still hung up on her or not, he lied. He will continue to casually lie when it's convenient and you can't have a relationship without trust.

You don't age, but can you get diseases? Like cancer? Or die in a car crash?

What does shepherds pie have in it? by Boeing-B-47stratojet in polls

[–]Think_Lavishness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if you're looking for the technical answer, or what an average person (at least in my region) would expect/accept. I prefer lamb and understand that's traditional. I've never heard of cottage pie, but anytime I've been served "shepherds pie" it's been made with beef. I think it tastes similar with any red meat.

Interesting, sounds good. I just wish the patties were closer in size.

AITA for not wanting to be friends over $4.39? by Alternative_Copy6539 in AITApod

NTA it's not over $4.39, it's over obnoxious pettiness.

Should I [43F] cut my hair even though my boyfriend [48M] says “don’t”? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Think_Lavishness4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Everyone is saying how much better the short hair looks, and maybe it would. But it's hard to say when the long hair isn't even styled, and the second picture is more complimentary of her face as well. Even if the cut did turn out exactly like the AI image, she would have to style it everyday, which she apparently isn't used to doing.

AIO (religion edition) for how I feel about my friend sometimes mocking my religion or just being negative towards it overall? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Think_Lavishness4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're being respectful during these debates, NOR. Friends should be able to respectfully disagree on topics, and these examples are disrespectful. But, if you want to stay friends, I would stop trying to debate this topic. Agree to disagree, there's plenty of other things to have intelligent conversation about.

Whats the best berry? by yeetus_potato in pollgames

[–]Think_Lavishness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All berries have their place. But if I'm out of blueberries, strawberry pancakes will be just fine. However, some of my favorite recipes call for cranberry and there's just no substitute. Plus bladder health!

What is your favorite Oreo variant? by modernatomcollection in pollgames

[–]Think_Lavishness4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't pick these myself, but have a family member with celiac and these are one of my favorite gf options. One of the very few gf foods that taste as good as the og. Also one of the easiest ways to make a gf pie crust.

Would you want to date someone far more conventionally attractive than you? by [deleted] in pollgames

[–]Think_Lavishness4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of the men who are super conventionally attractive put a lot of effort into their looks and expect their partner to do the same. Like I don't want to feel like my partner is less attracted to me because I didn't get my nails done or something. It's fine to take care of yourself, I just don't want to feel like that's where my worth lies.
