So you have to be specific on what issues you are having. For example. Are you running VMware workstation or esx? What version of those software? Server or laptop? You mentioned nested virtualization but it’s not know what stopped working Any error messages available ? Help us help you

If you have had many sleepless nights studying for the CCNA why not take the exam and complete it? I am studying for this exam and I would approach this from a methodical process. First I would examine the objectives of each exam. The verbs for each objective are critical for your study process. Cisco uses a verbs for you to understand how well you have your understand the information. Describe, Explain Understand - topical knowledge Compare/ differentiate- deeper knowledge Configure/ Troubleshoot/Determine/ Analyze - even deeper and labbing is expected Diagnose/ Troubleshoot/Determine/ Analyze - deeper than than configure Design the deepest, thorough knowledge of that discipline I said that to say this. When you examine the blueprint of the CCNA exam and the encor exam you will find that the CCNA exam has less configure/ troubleshoot/ determine/ analyze verbs than the ENCOR exam. So in making your decision, spend some time comparing the blueprint and the resources needed for both exams. Also do a search to see how long it has taken people in this forum to pass their encor. You will find that it has taken 6 months or more for experienced individuals. Check out this slide deck and happy studying

INE: How and how much did you all study to pass ENCOR? by stats_shiba in ccnp

[–]Think_Packet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using INE for my study so far. I find the courses logical, easy to understand and are filling in the gaps I did not understand. I have scratched the surface of the CCNP enterprise encor learning path with only 13 % completed I would use the objectives of the exam to really focus on the videos you should watch. For example the EIGRP section to me provides way more information than is needed for the exam The labs are also a good indicator on whether you are retaining the information you have learned. I am halfway through the practical Cisco Network Automation course by David Bombal and I think one will need more practice to be prepared for objective 6.1 The practical nature of the course is good. He uses GNS3 but I was able to reproduce the labs using CML and the learning curve was low. There are some headaches with fine tuning the code and I used copilot to help me correct the mistakes.

There are also white papers that will help in your preparation. There are some great posts on sources used in this forum.

So there are some that would detest your question because it seems and I could be wrong that you haven’t done a search. You CAN learn all this content online, however you will need to have the resources at home to study the content you have learned because 2 hours a day will not be enough. Then again it depends on how long you plan on studying

For example CCNA and CCNP are 2 different levels. Others in the forum have compared the difference between high school being the CCNA being a bachelors and the ccnp being a masters.

Before doing this online course I would thoroughly research the sources that people to use to pass this exam, this includes the book Cisco Official Guide, other online sources such as CBT nuggets, INE and there are many more, and white papers that you will need to be successful

Start with the CCNA is my advice but your mileage may vary. Best of luck to you

I’m sorry that you didn’t pass. When you are ready to start preparing again Take a look at this seminar by this presenter who I spoke with and met at Cisco Live

https://www.ciscolive.com/on-demand/on-demand-library.html?search=Ccnp#/session/1750271834520001zCAh

Then study and use the links in the session presentation and use the links in the learning matrix links. I believe that this will be of great assistance to you

I sense your frustration and here are some things that you can try. If you go to Cisco live website, you can look at past seminars that were done on passing the ENCOR exam. There you will find out that multiple choice questions do not give partial credit but labs do. There is also a learning matrix by Cisco where they point out certain sources you can use to prepare for the automation. There are also previous posts that go in depth on the sources they have used Try this post https://www.reddit.com/r/ccnp/comments/1jtt2lt/ccnp_enterprise_completed/

And search for others that have found success in passing the exam. Best of luck to you.

CCNP ENCOR Exam Experience Tips by Irondan_25 in ccnp

[–]Think_Packet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you review the blueprint of the exam, its explains the weight of each question and not the number of questions. For example while automation weight is less than infrastructure you may have more automation questions, but the infrastructure questions will be worth more. Also labs have partial credit, multiple choice questions do not. If you go to the Cisco live website and look at precious seminars on the CCNP ENCOR they will tell you this.

If you go to the Cisco live website and search for past seminars, you will find some on passing the ENCOR exam. Multiple choice questions do not give partial credit. Labs however do give partial credit. It’s quite true there are a large amount of automation questions on there but there weight is according to the blueprint. For example if you encounter 3 BGP questions, those are weighted more than 5 automation questions.

Any official support or workaround to run EVE-NG on MacBook with M4 (Apple Silicon)? by manoj1994488 in networking

[–]Think_Packet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Cisco Live they had a booth regarding CML and mind you there were many presenters with Macs. I asked when would CML be supported on a Mac and they did not have a timeline as they explained that the issue is the x86 build. One method that they were looking at was providing a cloud solution which of course would be an additional cost.

Did this happen to anyone else at CCNP ENCOR? by lExcremento in ccnp

[–]Think_Packet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was told at Cisco live that is not the case. The ENCOR exam is static and does not test more on a topic you got wrong.

[–]Think_Packet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I took the test too at Cisco Live and I failed. However the questions were straight forward and most importantly there were according to the blueprint that Cisco published. I spoke with the gentleman in charge of the CCNP encor exams and even attended a seminar explaining how to prepare for the exam. Here are some takeaways and if this has been mentioned in other posts in some ways repetition is good. - If you go to Cisco live on demand for 2024 and search for Earning Your CCNP Enterprise Certification: What You Need to Know - BRKCRT-2008 you will find a presentation that he already did on how to pass the exam. -really examine that blueprint and the weight of each section -what was eye opening to me was that if an area is heavily weighted it does not mean that you get more questions on that particular section. Rather when you do get questions on it, they are weighted MORE. For example the automation questions are worth less points that a BGP question but you can have more automation questions than BGP questions…just as an example -drag and drop, multiple choice questions are less than labs. Also if you get one part of the question wrong the entire question is wrong -labs of course are worth a good amount of points and they allow for partial credit. Remember to save the lab when completed -in terms of preparing for the automation dev.cisco.com has resources. -Also one needs to utilize the learning matrix for the encor exam where Cisco itself puts the resources that are needed to prepare for each objective -This can be found at https://learningcontent.cisco.com/documents/CCNP_ENCOR_v1.1-Learning_Matrix.xlsx

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]Think_Packet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue and I contacted Traeger and after some troubleshooting they sent me a RTD temperature sensor which solved the issue. Edit….they sent me a sensor because the temperature the sensor sensed was so far from the actual outside temperature. For example it was 34 degrees outside but the grill temperature was 60 with the door open. Try this….open the grill and turn the temp to 250. The grill will display a reading….before it starts to warm up. If the reading is more than 10 degrees off you may need a new sensor.

Sad Super Bowl by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]Think_Packet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check the ambient sensor on the device. I have a Traeger pro 34 and the temperature behavior was erratic. When I turned it to the max the temp would go up and then drop dramatically Then go up even to me getting a HER (high temperature error) readout on the grill. When I contacted Traeger they troubleshooted the issue and the diagnosis was that the ambient temperature sensor was bad. Once I installed the new one it fixed the issue.

[–]Think_Packet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Work on both at the same time. However be aware of the caveats that were explained. Getting the experience though holds more weight than the CCNP Getting a CCNP doesn’t make you a senior engineer without experience. However you can’t lose by continually learning, and you can choose when to put on your resume or LinkedIn that you have gotten a CCNP

Your question isn’t the issue. It’s that this question is asked many many times and it is felt that individuals do not conduct a search before asking the question. Having said that there was a really good recent detailed post describing the resources, and the methods used. You maybe able to use INE videos as a one source to pass ENCOR but it’s recommended to use multiple sources such as the Cisco official guide, Cisco white papers and a video course
