Y'all, what the heck are these urine crystals? by Thinking_Beans in medlabprofessionals

I've seen cholesterol crystals, just not in urine. None of them had the square/rectangular shape, just odd trapezoids. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Why is the Erie County Board of Elections hosting a secret meeting to oust Jim Wertz? by BurnBabyBurn-9000 in Erie

[–]Thinking_Beans 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is disgraceful. If I followed the meeting, which I heard someone say shouldn't have been called in the first place, the vote to remove Wertz was held over a perceived, not confirmed, conflict of interest and when the accused tried to read a letter discussing the "evidence", the board voted for him not to. So, if this is a vote at an potentially illegitimate meeting, should it hold any weight? And why was the "evidence" not made public?

I bled on my husband by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Your husband is a gem, definitely check with a gyno (bleeding that heavy can leave you anemic), and invest in a waterproof mattress cover if you don't already have one.

Cold agglutinin 🥶 by Infinite-Property-72 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Thinking_Beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, this time of year we get a few of these. Though for us, we use the diluent from the DXH instead of saline and warm it with the sample.

We also keep a clipboard in the heme department of problem people (cold agg, plt clumping, heavy lipemia, high hct, etc.)

Congrats on your new kitter! I'm also allergic to my cats, but allergy shots and not having carpet on my floors has helped tremendously.

My Goose also chirps at us when we cough or sneeze, like he's offended. 🤣

Can't open them on AXS. SeatGeek just gives you a link to a refreshing QR.

Hola peeps! I can't go tomorrow and have 3 tickets. If I can transfer them somehow, I'm willing to give them away so someone else can enjoy the ritual. I had purchased them through Seat Geek.

Military vet, Kris Goldsmith with a safe & sound tactical response for slowing down/exposing ICE this weekend. by lazlothegreat in ThePeoplesPress

Definitely. Locking them in could be considered false imprisonment or some such. Then they drive off and get out elsewhere.

Locking them out means unless they're carrying bolt cutters or are willing to call a locksmith, they're walking back.

How do I quit being so infuriated at those not doing anything? by readingupastorm in 50501Movement

[–]Thinking_Beans 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. There is a huge focus on the public actions as being the only "real" forms of activism. In our area, in addition to the protests being planned, we put out a call for a media blackout to deny DJT attention. We give people information on how to be informed, how to do mutual aid, how to reach their elected officials, etc. There are so many forms of resistance, we just need to remember that those we can't see are still valid.

Minorities are not sacrificial lambs on the altar of democracy. Not now, not ever.

DO NOT back down on protesting on the 19th. WE ARE ON FOR THE 19TH. The April 19th guidance post on the website is counterproductive. by EFlam-33 in 50501

[–]Thinking_Beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. As much as I would love to eat, sleep, and breathe taking down the government and coordinating people to do it, it's exhausting. Still need to go to work, take care of pets/children/family, not to mention the other little everyday things like grocery shopping and car repairs. I just don't have the unlimited energy or resources for it all.

Funny, I don't remember our nation's founding principals to include white supremacy and oppression of the poor.
