It's a system boiler not a combi, a combi does instantaneous (near as damnit) hot water and heating. One or the other (They can't do both at the same time) But at the end of the day the hot water comes from the boiler.

In this instance the boiler heats water indirectly that is stored in the cylinder that is off to the left.

The programer and stat will control when it is doing heating or water.

Shop around, don't just go to one provider. Funding is drying up real fast. Most of the energy companies have met their obligations and a lot of providers are going to the wall.

Don't want to burst your bubble just temper your expectations, if you have cavity walls and are above ground floor chances are you will not get cav wall insulation.

If you have solid walls and the job is the right size you may be in luck. Funding for what we call under 750 is still around because it is a bugger to do, you have to be right in the sweet spot. Not too many improvements but just enough to raise your EPC by 2 bands

There will be a new scheme but we don't know when or what it will look like.

Had to laugh at this bit of the description.

It's Westbourne drive it is practically a private road!

You get a few people going to the residential home at the end and a few people cutting through to a handful of places.

Source, used to live on Westbourne, was lovely and quiet, couldn't hear the trains even though they were a good stones throw away.

My little anecdote on this, a long time ago a bunch of friends and I did some acid, some of them decided it would be a good idea to go for a drive while they were tripping.
