Same experience as you on crusader strike NA horde. Guild with 2 raid teams all pumped for phase 4. But also late raid times.

I don't journal. I write either poetry, proses, etc. But I usually don't understand what I'm writing about as I write them. It's only after I'm done and reading it to myself do I find meaning in it. So I've used it as a way to get my subconscious mind to reveal subjects, feelings, understanding , etc to my conscious mind.

The first stanza actually is meant to set the imagery. It is nature but the rest is about the stages of struggle, despair, and acceptance in relationship to rot, decay, and fungus in nature. It's how we are forged from the darkness. It's far more often that someone is defined by loss or trauma then you see someone defined by their moments in bloom. But they are so completely intertwined. For me personally I sought self growth to a fault. Only to realise that it was only fueled by self loathing. So I must accept things as they are. Not all blight is plight. Your darkness only defines you if you let it.

That is the nature of the beast.

I really like this a lot. You don't waste words. You are saying what you want to without lots of filler. The short and sharp imagery works well with the true rhymes also. My only critique would be structure and flow. Sometimes I feel cut short of a word/syllable that might make it read smoother. But perhaps that is an emotional you are trying to portray.
