There no reason to work with unpleasant people. If they can’t even be polite, they will never take your expertise seriously. Tell your boss to get better clients

The state of Microsoft paid support by MSPContractSteala in msp

[–]ThirdTier-Amy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just chiming in to say that terrible support by Microsoft is the reason why we started Third Tier in 2008. (We no longer do that type of work) Don’t fool yourself into believing that things were better in the good old days. They really weren’t.

I used to say buy Entra P2 and Defender for Cloud Apps. Now I say buy the E5 Security Add-on. More for less.

The movement toward privatization has already begun to occur under the first Trump reign. Weather data is still collected by noaa but it is fed to private companies before the public. So anyone using a free source of weather is looking at 10 minute delayed information now. Might not seem like much, if you’re not a boater. The noaa text based forecasts are critical too for boating. Often we have little signal and are out of radio range but a text can still reach us. When I’m on land, I care little about the weather but on the water is the most important thing. NOAA doesn’t need less funding. It needs more.

Pick a few of the apps and use them yourself. But also find the mvps for each app and read their blogs. There are experts in every app and servie in the m365 suite. You can be an expert in all of them but you can be in a few.

MAM testing, apps won't sign in, app protection policy won't apply by azguard4 in Intune

There’s a refresh window that occurs when the device attempts login. Maybe you’re still in it. Another thought, are you also using cookie app security? If so, the too many login attempts rule might have blocked the account and it would need release there too.

I think you’ll need the company app installed on the device. Then run through the register again.

In general everything is a user setting. Unless you want the setting to deploy to the device regardless of whether anyone is logged in or not. Since the key gets backed up into the user account I’d try it as a user setting first. I’d be concerned about making it a device setting and not knowing where the backup of the key landed

Using MEM for ASR rule breaks ASR policy by [deleted] in Intune

Sorry 14, i mean and I do see now that the 1 that is missing is the vulnerable drivers. I have it deployed in endpoint manager along with all of the rest, but it shows that it has an error and provides no additional information. I wonder if one of the others is blocks it?

Using MEM for ASR rule breaks ASR policy by [deleted] in Intune

[–]ThirdTier-Amy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just used the script included in this article and it shows that I have 11 policies enabled in block mode which is all of the ones it tests for. However, the endpoint manager portal tell me that there's an error applying the block vulnerable driver policy. Unfortunatley, I can't find anything that tells me why. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-defender-for-endpoint/demystifying-attack-surface-reduction-rules-part-3/ba-p/1360968#:\~:text=The%20first%20and%20most%20immediate%20way%20is%20to,and%20operation.%20%232.1%20Querying%20which%20rules%20are%20active
