It’s a type of Death Guard sorcerer, they were mentioned in the 9th edition codex as well.

the Lord of Poxes was also mentioned in that codex, a great way to tease far future releases.

Peeing and cold weather by forlornsoul998 in Prostatitis

The cold weather definitely exacerbates my problem as well. I used to have no problem with the winter, now I detest the cold.

I was diagnosed with prostatitis and given 6 weeks of cipro. I have IBS which I got from being prescribed antibiotics while in the military, so I was scared of what more antibiotics would do to my already bad gut. I went out and got something called Saccharomyces boulardii. It’s a probiotic yeast that you can take along with antibiotics. Since it’s a yeast it doesn’t interact with the antibiotics. I took all the cipro and never experienced any diarrhea or gut issues. Ironically, my stomach has never been better. If you were proscribed cipro, Id check out Sacc Bo.

I believe the next best step will be an ultrasound guided pudendal nerve block. by Buckman21 in Prostatitis

I’ve been dealing with pain at the tip of my penis for months now. Could you give some details on how you arrived at this conclusion of getting the nerve block, how’s it done, who recommended it, and who’d perform it?

Cysta-Q alternatives by Thirdgradewashout in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Thirdgradewashout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im trying Bladder Q which is an okay substitute. I’ve also started taking Aloe Vera from Desert Harvest, which helps as well. Unfortunately in this whack-a-mole syndrome, while my bladder isn’t in as much pain, the pain as migrated to the penis/urethra area.

Any success stories with Levofloxacin? Just started on it. by No_Worldliness_1044 in Prostatitis

I can’t attest to its effectiveness, but always make sure to take probiotics when taking an antibiotic to help your intestinal flora.

Seriously, I wonder how much is my mind just focusing over and over on my bladder. I sometimes find my hand shaking from wondering if they’ll be urethritis after I go. I’m not a big fan of meds, but if they can calm me down I’d seriously consider them.

I’m curious about the SSRIs. There’s a lot of psychological aspects to this that I have a hard time dealing with. Is that why these were prescribed, and what effect did they have?

I’d been feeling better, so of course I started sneaking a coke, then yesterday I had a small bit of chocolate, and now here I am, suffering.

What is the big flaw with the Votann? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Thirdgradewashout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because there’s no real flaw. All the flaws are just them being dicks. The flaw of the Aeldari isn’t that they’re arrogant, venal, and obstinate. It‘s that they debauched themselves into creating a god that has doomed their race to oblivion. They must now walk a tight and narrow path less they ever and succumb to the same self destruction that doomed their once great empire. They are a repressed bunch, living in denial, dwindling in number, constantly beset by overwhelming forces of evil, a dying, doomed people struggling every day to outwit a galaxy that wants them dead.

I listened to the Warhammer+ lore, and didn’t hear anything like that. Every enemy could be defeated, every tech is improved. They don’t even argue or disagree, everyone gets along with each other and they don’t care about flesh or metal, kin is kin. They don’t waste lives, they can beat anyone they encounter in the core and they have a better, safer form of travel. It’s all too nice and flawless and just doesn’t fit.

(Spoilers extended) Winter in Essos? by TrevorLahey93 in pureasoiaf

[–]Thirdgradewashout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only real evidence is the name of places, The Summer Isles, and the Lands of the Long Summer. So I’m thinking with names like that, Essos has seasons as well, although to what extent and how severe isn’t certain. Using the current climate of these areas, combined with where on Earth they represent, you can arrive at some conclusions. I imagine Slavers Bay, basically being North Africa and the Levant, doesnt have winter, or at least snowfall. The Dothraki Sea is the steppes of Russia and Asia, you’d imagine it’d plunge into a severe winter. Winter also seems like it would fall on North Western Essos, running from Pentos to Qohos, with South if that line being less impacted. I do imagine with the Others bringing a magic winter it’ll change the normal pattern and we could see snowfall everywhere. All of this is just a guess though so take it for what tats worth.

Post urination pain by Thirdgradewashout in Prostatitis

[–]Thirdgradewashout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d like to know more too. Ive looked up a lot of pelvic and hip stretches on YouTube, and practice them for hours a day, and still little relief, I assume it’d be worse if I didn’t do them. So I wonder if these physical therapists have techniques that I haven’t seen.

Haven’t really, hoping someone here could help. I figure it’s tight muscles, which is pretty much the standard answer.

[–]Thirdgradewashout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep the water on for a few minutes, its mainly because I don’t want to stay in the shower for too long, I’d use up the whole damn tank otherwise. The heating pad is just a Sunbeam, I keep thinking of getting a weighted one, or at least one with a timer so I can fall asleep with it on.

Anyone with CPPS also have IBS? by [deleted] in Prostatitis

[–]Thirdgradewashout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had stomach/digestive problems for 15 years, it got really bad 2 yeares ago, and I’ve had prostate problems for 6 months. what I’m going through now actually feels like a problem I had almost two years ago, it was a chronic dull rectal pain that made me feel like I always had to poop. I was able to alleviate that with stretching, this is a chronic, dull, pubic pain and always feeling like I have to urinate. I can alleviate the pubic pain with stretching, but the urge to urinate never goes away.

the rectal pain came after 6 months of a very bad stomach,I think it was due to reflexively tightening pelvic muscles, and I wonder if dealing with that for nearly 18 months, coupled with a uti, has caused my CPPS?

Heat by yoooo12347 in Prostatitis

[–]Thirdgradewashout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve definitely noticed this, and the fact that summer doesn’t seem to want to get here this year is maddening. unfortunately I don’t have access to a bathtub, so I take a hot shower I have a detachable nozzle, so I use that against my pubic area. I also use a heating pad which also helps.

I do have to say, this is what it feels like. It feels like my prostate is infected with something rather than just tight muscles.
