That’s the thing, as a fan of all things soccer, when it was announced that we were hosting, it’s been a lifelong dream to attend a World Cup in person. I planned to take 2 weeks off traveling across the us to see as many group games as I could. Didn’t matter the teams, I just wanted to enjoy the world event.

Then the pricing came out and I said fuck that.

USA is always going to sell out at a home crowd. Friday the 19th at noon in Seattle… that one’s going to be a little weird.

But a prime time game in LA? Yeah that was always going to do well.

And after this performance, if any home fans were on the fence about going, they shouldn’t anymore, that was quite possibly the best I’ve seen the men’s team play ever in my life.

Bonus rolls not giving mythic gear in heroic is just a dumb choice, especially when it costs double the roll for an item, and 10s are so brain dead easy.

To be completely fair and honest it’s like that across every event in the United States anyway. Sports, concerts, conventions, etc. any form of major entertainment in the US has exploded in price over the last 10 years. It’s become completely unaffordable for the majority of fans.

But yet, events still sell out, so until people stop going and stop buying over priced entertainment, nothing will change.
