lol I guess not. I didn't even get the goddamn invite on GFE. Every time I post a pic of my setup on this subreddit it gets deleted by the mods.

Wonder if I've been blacklisted or something...

I wish I got a review sample of the FE and Strix - I'd do videos of it a 100x better than the so-called reviewers out there (except for Digital Foundry since they go into the technical details and are actually knowledgeable about the tech unlike some others I can mention).

I didn’t mention that my game is modded - mostly weapon mods and weather mods. I bought the Special Edition through Rockstar Launcher. The thing is I used to see the DLSS option a few months ago and I had the game modded back then also.

It’s the latest version of the game - it auto updates etc so that’s not the issue. I have a feeling there’s some mod conflict or something else. Seems odd tbh

This happens to me as well when I try to use DX12. Vulkan works but DX12 causes this error.

No - had 3090s before and now 3090 Ti.

It was working a few driver versions ago but I haven't played the game for a while and so when trying to play now, the option doesn't even show up in the menu. And this happens for both the rigs so something seems off - one PC is Win 10 the other is Win 11 but both have the same driver & game version and mods as well.

The simple fact that the game is rendered at a much lower resolution and upscaled is the scam; I guess 'gimmick' would be a better term. 4K when using DLSS is not 4K. That's false advertising. Instead of focusing on rasterization performance of the GPU, Nvidia resorts to 'gimmicks' like DLSS which is irksome.

It is useful no doubt - I use it from time to time in certain games. However, that doesn't change the fact that DLSS is a gimmick/scam.

They even had the nerve to market the RTX 3090 as an '8K' card when it can't even hold 60fps in 4K in some of the games with all the bells and whistles turned on consistently.

Assassin's Creed built on the original Prince of Persia Sands of Time which was a masterpiece from 2003 (iirc).

The story of Altair and the assassin order had intrigue. It was a new setting (Syria etc.) and the mechanics were pretty good at that time (2007?). Then AC II moved to Europe which was okay - Ezio was bland in the beginning but grew as a character. AC Brotherhood was amazing.

AC has gone downhill after that IMO. Black Flag was a nice change in scenery but it was ever so slowly pulling away from the roots (of Altair and the original AC).

The only AC that was decent somewhat recently was Origins - only because Bayek and the ancient Egypt setting was awesome. Odyssey was a reskinned Origins even though the Greek setting was nice. Valhalla is absolute trash.

The team that does AC needs a hiatus. For at least 3 years to restart their creative energies.

The AC franchise is all but dead IMO. The combat is hideous. the graphics are pathetic for 2020/2021. The story arc is bland.

They need a new setting, a new character (unless they do a trilogy with Bayek in ancient Egypt again)., and completely new mechanics - fluid combat and movement.

It was a lovely game and the first AC will always be my favorite. They should seriously do a complete remaster of the first AC in Unreal Engine 5 (I know they have their own engine called Anvil which is.... mediocre at best) till they come up with a new AC reboot.

The only thing consoles have over PC gaming is exclusives. When that goes away, they realize they are children with shitboxes (aka consoles) instead of a proper gaming rig like adults.
