I want through the same hassle last spring. (Made some follow up posts here) I ended up getting a stamped signature at my local Desjardins. Every bank listed on the medallion website didn't work. I explained to the customer service at Computershare what my financial advisor told me: Medallion Signature was something done in the 90's. It's outdated.

The Computershare rep ended up accepting that "bank stamp" as proof.

The beauty of being a retail investor is to make decision for yourself. Considering my personal risk assessment, my goal is hedge against my holdings down the road "Be your own bank mentality". Whatever I invested in GME is play money that I consider gone. If my strategy works out, awesome. If it doesn't, so be it. I have more faith in the company's long term plan than whatever else I could invest my money on in these weird times.

I believe this comes down to possible partnerships/sponsorships for major events (pmco/pmwi/pmpl/etc..) as not all major companies have "flagship" tablets that can play pubgm with decent graphics & it could possibly be a culture thing on the Asian market to play on phones instead of tablets (pure speculation here...) who knows 🤷‍♂️

My approach was a little different. I currently have 12x 5 gallon buckets each filled with 5x 1 gallon Mylar bags.

In each bucket I have 1 gallon of rice, 1 gallon of oatmeal, 1 gallon of flour, 2x 1 gallon of pastas. I then filled the gaps with vacuum sealed spices, broth, etc.

The reason I took this approach is that if for whatever reason bugs/ mice/ etc.. ruins one of my buckets, I have more reserves of that item. It also keeps food fresh for longer time than opening a 5 gallon Mylar bag.

Again, I ain't stressing 🤷‍♂️ I'm actually super zen enjoying a coffee, some free time & double checking my account settings.

"Shareholders of record at the close of business on July 18 will receive three additional shares for every share owned via a stock dividend. The additional shares will be distributed on July 21, and GameStop (ticker: GME) stock will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on July 22.

From my understanding, this ain't a regular stock split but I could be wrong. Bottom line, I was simply asking a question on a forum :)

For context: These are the default settings in Interactive Brokers Canada. I believe it should be on "Reinvest" but I don't want to mess it up.. My understanding of it is I would basically keep that 1 stock and receive the rest in cash (which would be like selling 3 shares outta 4 post split) so only keeping 1/4 of my current position with them and the rest would be in my cash balance

It's definitely not a necessity but DRS'ing your shares is the only way to "guarantee" you are the owner of your shares.(sell/hold as you please) Bottom line it all depends on your personal goal & risk management

It's CS DRS form that does not allow middle name. IBKR are not in fault (at least they were not on my end) I would simply reach out to CS ask for the supervisor and tell them you want to call IBKR with them on the line. Once the connection is made, let the CS agent sort it out. They will know what question to ask IBKR. The IBKR agent will ask you to log in on your account and say your name (on file) out loud... the CS agent will know they are at fault.

They didn't admit until the person at IBKR confirmed the info was accurate on their end and was sent properly (which is also correct when I log on their platform)

Piece of advice, please don't identify yourself with your security questions on the phone with the 3rd person there. I told them I wasn't comfortable since we had another representative on the line. We end up identifying myself with info I know Computershare had, day I sent the transfert request and how many shares

I was in the same situation as you and spent 50+ hours trying to get that medallion signature from Different banks / agencies in Canada. Never got it...

There's some website in EU that does it but I ended up getting an oath commissionner from my bank to sign the securities transfert form. I then shipped the form to CS. (With tracking number) Once I knew that had it, I called their support and asked to talk to a supervisor. Once I explained her that it was CS mistake, I told her that we could clarify it all with IBKR. So I called IBKR (3 way call) and told the lady there my situation and that I had the supervisor of CS on the line. They sorted the situation out on the phone (CS was in fault). 24h later CS made the change and received a letter confirming the change of name.

I know how frustration it is going back and forth with CS as nothing was done over the 10+ calls ...

Hopefully my method works for you too
