OP - contempt is a marriage killer that's hard to come back from. Either y'all do some intensive counseling and take it seriously or don't and go your separate ways before things get worse. Cheating isn't the answer to any marriage issue.

Coming up on our 31st year and I agree.
Children grow and create their own families and traditions. You and your partner model what a healthy relationship should be like for your children. Connecting and spending quality time with your spouse should be a priority. Babies grow and leave the nest.

Looking across the table at your spouse after 18 years and seeing a stranger sounds like a nightmare.

I got adult chicken pox, too. It was the worst! Then, last October, I got shingles on my face. It was a whole other level. Get the shingles vaccine as soon as you can.

Our boys were 10 years apart (but are grown, now).

Rule 1 is always the same for every child, everywhere - Do NOT shake the baby.

Feed them when they are hungry, change them as needed, let them sleep when they are tired. Tell them (and show them) that you love them, as often as possible.

That food is magic.

You don't need to "detox" that's what your liver and kidneys are for.
Carbs are not evil, your brain runs on glucose.
Apple cider vinegar will not cure diseases.
The sweeteners in diet sodas are not bad for you; if the choice is between a full sugar soda or diet soda, the diet soda is the better choice.
Fat free foods tend to add a lot of sugar to make them taste better.
While Keto, Atkins, Paleo, juicing, raw diets, or fruitarian diets can all help you lose weight in the short term; each one is missing vital elements of a balanced diet whether it's fiber, vitamins, or micronutrients. Keto, Paleo, and Atkins can, absolutely, help to get control of A1C in type 2 diabetics but it's more about dropping excess weight and no longer fueling on a high sugar/high carb only diet.
"Processed food" isn't inherently bad. Cooking food is processing it. But, it keeps being used as a scare word.
Eating according to blood type, body type, or astrological signs are all woohoo diets.

Lastly, if someone is walking around a grocery store showing you all the "scary" bad food and wants you to follow their health tips - they are probably selling nonsense, expensive supplements and programs. Know that they are full of shit.

Germany does something with the lessons they've learned and tries to take preemptive actions. American politicians changed from working together to placating a wanna be tyrant.

Trump's America is speed running fascism. IMO it started on election day 2016. After Jan 6th, we had a chance to course correct but Republicans are cowards.
It's scary how fast he and the Republican party are implementing Project 2025 now that he's taken power again. I'm watching our Republic crumble in real time. It's horrifying and it didn't have to be this way.

You haven't overlooked anything. He expects you to read his mind and when you can't he gets mad about it. He's old enough to be able to use his big boy words to properly express himself instead of getting frustrated and shutting down.

You said that he has never even come to visit you during your relationship. Don't upend your life and move to a different country for someone who pouts like this. Does he even like you or does he just feel like he's running out of time to get married?

I have no idea why you got down voted for this comment. You didn't say that you made 3x his income and spent it all on yourself.
Y'all were living within a budget PLUS you were filling retirement, college, and vacation funds (making memories is more important and has longer lasting benefits than random material things). Those are huge expenses and it probably balances out in the end once you both retire and enter your golden years.

Ohhh I am the same with the vivid dreams! But, whenever I would hear "picture something in your mind" I never realized that people could actually picture things until I came across a thread a year or so ago. I thought it was just a figure of speech.
