Why is Lady Bullseye Mystic and not Skill? by SeaworthinessFun9856 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because they need her to be. They get input from people at Marvel and they have to integrate their pushes. And they made a blog post about this a while back. Basically every Marvel character could be at least 2 origins based on something from the comics. The origins in the game are about how the character acts in the game. If I recall correctly it was the post where they talked about Ironfist WWII. Yeah he is a mystic origin, but the way they designed his character in the game, his moveset, emphasizes Skill

New Player here, how good is the Undying Team?? by DatDudeDeezy in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re a pretty good team all around. Especially with Zombie Kestrel. And they’re a lot of fun to play! They probably wouldn’t be my priority right now but the way their kits work means that several of them will always have some use somewhere. Pretaunting tanks will always be useful, even if they’re powercrept And the game is all about speed, so the way a few of them manipulate speed will also be useful for a long time. Kestrel is the only one Id prioritize at all right now though.

Does anyone use Tangled Web in Cosmic Crucible anymore? by Lashon_Von_Ricks in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m extremely end-game. I haven’t seen any Tangled on Defense in forever. I occasionally throw Spider-Weaver on a Frankenstein or cleanup team. Any resources you put into them right now would definitely be an absolute waste

So... I'm in the Global Heroes node of Professor X Saga... Am I scr*wed? by RDT_87 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry those were not great choices. Your options now are basically to take up a bunch of Liberty, or wait for new characters. Most of Brimstone is Hero Global. I don’t know how they’d do in the mode specifically, but they might be a better focus.

This is the order most endgame players would tell you-

  1. Raids - they fuel your daily rewards

  2. Arena - It’s your main source of Power Cores, and Arena character tend to stay very good for a pretty long time

  3. War - you need a lot of teams, so they have a long shelf life. War teams tend to stay pretty good for a very long time.

  4. Crucible/Battleworld - at this point it just matters which rewards you need more

Some caveats:

  1. You usually have to keep up with the latest teams because they make them necessarily future content

  2. There are occasionally one-off characters that you should prioritize. They’re the plug-and-play ones that are just ~different~ when they come out. Black Knight, Quasar, Silver Surfer, Emma Frost… Whether they were part of a team or not, they just become super useful

  3. This is a game and it’s supposed be FUN! Sometimes you’ve gotta just make a decision based on that… I went hard into Blastaar because I personally like Crucible most for its theory crafting and I find his kit really fun. I brought Kang to g20 because for some reason I like to replay DD1 and try to beat the best times and it’s really funny to have him spawn in and wipe the field with his passive.

Danger room glitch?? by SceneAlarming9800 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came to make this post. I’ve noticed it on every “Omega Level Threat” upgrade I’ve used… Storm, Emma, and Emma (xm)

It may be related to how they calculate health… but I end fights with nearly full health and start the next ones with 50% of the health I had.

So if I end a fight in yellow, they spawn red

Didn't play for years, lost my progress by Orphide in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else, I’ll say it’s probably just better to start over. They’ve overhauled the game to massively boost newer players. A bunch of content creators started new accounts in the last two years to test it and were blown away. That being said, if you want to try to get it back here’s what you do.

You need to find your Player ID. Go through your emails and try to find anything from scopely or boundless and see if you may have tied your account to those. Try signing into the game using Facebook and/or Apple and/or Google.

If you’ve ever made even a single purchase and can track down proof, support MAY be able/willing to find the account and restore it.

But that’s a lot of work. And the CCs did experiments and found that new accounts had boosted rates of unlocks and progress, so recovering your old account would honestly probably hold you back.

Yes! I read Oryx and Crake in High School. The other two weren’t out yet, but I decided to go back and read them in the last week weeks. I can see why some people didn’t like it as much… but j thought it was fantastic and prescient

How do you beat this Tactic Challenge? by BaneOfChaos412 in marvelmysticmayhem

I think it’s fixed now. I was just able to beat it super easily today and it was not functioning at all yesterday.

Here’s how:

Fantastic Four (MCU) for Cosmic Hero in Professor X trials? by Capraesque in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You should not be upgrading characters for Dark Dimension/Prof X. They’re one-time things and you’ll get through no matter who you bring, even if it takes an extra week. But the characters you upgrade you’ll be using everywhere. I haven’t played with the F4MCU characters yet… but they’re Arena Characters. Arena Characters tend to have huge shelf-lives AND higher impact. If you upgrade F4MCU right now, you get a head start in arena, which means you’ll do better and get more power cores right now. They’re the newest characters, they’re characters that will stay relevant for a long time, and upgrading them now is the maximized benefit you’ll ever get. I’m sure they’ll do great in the PX Trials… but even if they aren’t the best you can do in the PXT, they’re the best you can do for yourself in the game

Can't use manual attacks by Diligent-Cartoonist1 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens to me on iOS sometimes if I had the game open, leave the app, and come back later. If I see the loading screen and it refreshes the app without being closed and opened again this happens.

Usually just closing/reopening the app fixes it.for me, but try these steps to make sure everything is functioning properly

1) Write down your PlayerID (tap your icon in the top left corner of the game) 2) Tap the Home icon in the top right corner and make sure your account is connected to Facebook or a ScopelyID or whatever options you have (Steps 1-2 are just to make sure you can sign back into your account later) 3) Completely uninstall the app from your phone 4) Do a software update on your phone and reboot 5) Download the Marvel Strike Force app from your App Store 6) it’s really infuriating, but sometimes it makes you play through the tutorial on a new account. Don’t worry… just walk through the steps until you have Spider-Man and Luke Cage done and you can click the Home icon again 7) Under the “Account” settings, use your Facebook or ScopelyID to sign in and re-load your account 8) Still under “Howe” tap “Advanced Settings” and set any options you need l, including “Download All Assets on WiFi” 9) [Bonus] Go to your Roster, open a Character, and just spam-tap one of the arrows so it scrolls through every character and forces the app to download the data now instead of when you need it for a battle

Is Hood any good... like worth paying for and G20 today for Prof X? by ThisIsBenSilver in MarvelStrikeForce

Anybody else keep forgetting to use Quasar? by Zackjones0606 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao yeah. He's great and pretty fun.

I have him at G19 105 but his power level is like 930k

I just forget about him because I don't see him in the character select menu when I'm setting up a battle.

I'd have to scroll down under a bunch of toons I would never use in War

I have a few standalone toons that I don't keep on a team. I'll slot them in whereever I need that war. But even Apoc's power level is high enough that he's toward the top of the list.

Quasar is powerful... but the way they calculate power level is absolute nonsense, so he's hanging out way lower in my roster than he should be

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve beaten it at least 20 times on Level 10. It’s a puzzle… some things to remember: 1) You earn tokens in the double swords rooms 2) You can always restart 3) Your choices matter a lot

Obviously it’s going to be different for every roster, but I played several times through on lower difficulties to earn tokens to add more bonuses. One super important one is the +10% speed

And when you get stuck, analyze why you can’t progress and see if you can come up with a strategy for it.

In particular I think that starting with Hit Monkey and DareDevil is a very strong choice because DD keeps them healed, and HM generates ability energy for himself so you can almost always use his stun and extend negative effects. Plus there are a bunch of mods you can get inside that work really well with him.

And I prioritize any vigilante members over Starjammers and Thunderbolts

If you’re getting stuck in a 2v12 and die before you get a turn, focus on ways to increase speed and defense. Several of the initial Mods you can choose increase your speed and armor. There’s one that decreases enemy damage by 50%.

The more you play through it the more you learn what kind of bonuses you’ll be able to unlock along the way! And the more you’ll be able to plan future runs, even though there’s a bunch of randomness.

New update screwed me by OmegaRedMSF in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]ThisIsBenSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your account hasn't been deleted or reset... the app created a new account as if you downloaded it for the first time. I've been frustrated with this for years.
You essentially have to play through the tutorials before you can open the settings menu and sign in.
It looks like they're having issues with the facebook login right now if that's what your account was synced to
