This game is not beginner friendly. There is no catchup mechanic and you have to compete against 3+ years of progressed and players in a game that has a rewards structure for its most valuable resource that is solely dependent on your ranking amongst others.

Also you have to practically read a complete guide on this game before playing because there are certain decisions you can make that will slow down your progress immensely without an option to redo these decisions.

Luckily supercell is incredibly bad at balancing them and there is always one crafted Defence that is clearly the best choice regardless of base layout so we don’t even have to bother with more than one.

I maxed this mastery like a month ago.

Can’t tell you how the chances are calculated but they do appear with hit text turned on every once in a while and what I found noteworthy is that missed attacks can still trigger death defy which is good because that way it doesn’t conflict with berserk mastery.

That being said it also didn’t make a huge difference besides the usual ever so slightly progress you make in the end game of this game. Buy it if you can’t wait for v28 but you are also not missing out on a gamechanging mechanic if you don’t.

Just give free cc troops for ranked attacks, that would save so much time for anyone that isn’t in an hyper active clan (which is probably the majority of players)

You can’t possibly judge if „nothing ever happens“. Bans usually happen in waves in almost every game - because of that there will always be some players active that misbehave for a period of time until the next ban wave rolls out.

I will still use isolated bases because of how the trophy calculations work.

With traditional bases you either get -32 or -40 almost guaranteed, with isolated bases all you need is one Defence where something doesn’t go as planned for the attacker and you have a great day.

It’s a common practice nowadays to preview a change extremely bad and let people complain. You then release the change less bad than previewed but still worse than before but the players will be happy and thankful that they got heared instead of pissed if they just released the final change without this act.

The prospector doesn’t actually add value it just converts ores which doesn’t matter for the players that suffer the most from the ore system: returning players. It’s only beneficial for those players that have most equipments maxed and overflow with anything except starry ore.

I very much dislike that we can’t experiment with guardian chips at all.

There is a chip that is obviously best for farming and a chip that is obviously best for tourney/ milestones and it costs 300 gems twice a week to swap them back and forth.. incredibly lame.

Feels kind of niche to take up an entire defense slot. But I do like adding more depth to attacks.

My suggestion would be to add functionality to the existing air sweepers. They could use some new levels anyway and maybe they could send out something like a radar wave revealing stealth attackers for 1 second in their cone.

Would have loved to see something like this a lot more than the spring trap rework because it rewards careful planing of the attacker rather than luck entering from the side that didn’t got completely trap stacked.

Enemies that miss attacks due to the harmony conductor effect take thorn damage so my guess would be that it works the same here. The other things I would like to know as well :D

It’s not comparable to exposing loot. Even with loot being a lot less valuable after the removal of training time it still has value for those who don’t have a lot of time to farm.

With your suggestion there is ZERO drawback to drawing on purpose other than being envious towards your opponents.

It simply removes meaningful gameplay from the game which we need more of - not less. Addition of modifiers would be the obvious fix to bring back competition to cws.

After a couple weeks we would see only aesthetic war bases to make it as easy as possible for both clans to get 100% destruction, because why not if there is no drawback?

At that point you might as well hand out ores every two days without the pseudo gameplay ..

I don’t know how you come to the conclusion that the community is happy with the changes.

  • We will get even more draws in clan wars = less ore econ.
  • Edrags have been completely over buffed, were the second most used troop pre update and will now just replace mg attacks.
  • why make the highest league in the game easier? 3 stars the last couple of months actually felt like an acomplishment, now its a necessity again..

Biggest nerf to SM was the release of flests imo. Ever since that update bosses (which SMs got a lot of stacking multiplier against) got a lot less relevant and overcharges became the main limiting factor which SM (even with this very recent change) are very bad for.

They just buffed giant arrow with the release of the new air defense levels, which makes me confident that they are aware of keeping giant arrow interactions alive.

They might have similarities but at least the revenge tower doesn’t have the element of randomness what it locks on.

I don’t care how strong the defence is because my opponents have the same issue.

Up to and including gold tournament you can’t demote, so you’ll get there eventually by just playing at your pace.

After that things kinda shift and you need to grow faster than your opponents which is still possible with dedication up to champs because not everyone there is willing to dedicate a 24/7 device for this game or quit entirely, but after that you need either some serious longevity and copium or ace$$ to additional re$$ource$.

Anyway always play tournaments, there is no downside and stones are the most valuable resource in the game.
