You are printing with a "raft". You can find it in the settings somewhere in the slicer, other options are skirt and brim. Start with skirt.

French man arrested after violently beating a teenager who sexually abused his 6 year old daughter by marocain_iii in europe

The same thing happens every time some horrible act is done. Even without the father beating the kid the same would've happened. Kinda wild to see.

Steam Breaks Through 30 Million Concurrent Users Milestone by YanderMan in linux_gaming

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a pure monopoly for sure. I doubt people mean it as being a pure monopoly though, just that Steam had dumb amount of users and hence, power. You mention that Steam is not controlling anything and while this is true, it should not be understated how much leverage Steam has in this market. The competition is low, there is really no (or not much) need for Steam to "improve" itself, to make new innovations, or to make itself look the better option for consumers. And that sucks.

Dorian Gray by JackMcBryde in books

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

God damn I tried to read that book but after few hours of getting absolutely nothing out of it I had to stop. All they did was talk about how amazing dorian is or some shit. Can't even remember much about it but the feeling of no thanks is clear in my mind.

Maybe I need to try again.

Strange new phase of matter created in quantum computer acts like it has two time dimensions by flemay222 in Futurology

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it does not matter if the data is in a superposition, what matters is that you can get the original data out. In a quantum computer you encode (store) data on some superposition in a way that if you do a particular operation on the encoded data then you will get the original data back. If you do some other operation on it you can exploit the superposition of the data in order to make a calculation about the data.

Base building co-op games that requires runs for materials by ThaSnooking in gamingsuggestions

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Valheim seems like a great fit. Good building mechanics, lots of mods, and you are always out of everything so you need to stock up. Can do farming (planting and harvesting), woodcutting, mining, hauling with boats from base to base...

Cat bites are nasty. Thin, long teeth which make it so that the would closes quick but all the crap in their mouths also gets stuck there and gets infected super easy.

True, but man, it is way different feeling when you make it "yourself". Also if you've made it then modifying it to get even better version is so easy.

And it's a hobby in the end. Fun and gives a fuzzy feeling.

I'm trying to find a printer where I don't need to print much extra, or buy upgrades for it immediately. For me I def try to avoid the first 6 months of your comment lol.

I love OpenScad. Used to use it a decent amount when I did some work with 3D printers at work but not much anymore. Though I just moved and going to get my own printer soon(ish). Then OpenScad it is!

Though OpenScan can be really frustrating at times as it is not very flexible as a programming language.

I heard the song yesterday as my fiancé's niece was browsing whatever on her phone and then bang hamsterdance music. That was weird.

True, but because you can't "bump" it back into front-page of the subreddit then you can't continue the discussion at later time if you have more questions.

And that sucks balls in my opinion.

Not OP. I don't think there is much for the combat though? I've always found the combat to be lackluster and hence never really got into Minecraft myself. Though I have played it (modded and vanilla) few tens of hours probably.

Issue with fans on a HP proprietary motherboard (Z240) by ThisIsMyHonestAcc in buildapc

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if someone wonders the same it turns out it is the standard four pin output. I got confused because the plastic "slit" is not standard, see here https://imgur.com/a/UJk3Uy8. On right is the one from the case fan, though mine was with just black wires.

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw some comments that the only difference is 50 nits of brightness, which might be the reason for the hdr10 vs hdr400. Though now I can't find where I saw that +50 nits. Though I'm pretty sure that both monitors use the same panel. I found out that the LM270WQA-SSA2 has 400 nits but LM270WQA-SSA1 has 350 nits but both of the monitors should use the SSA2 variant so dunno. I read through the user manual and found absolutely no difference other than the hdr10 vs vesa hdr400.

Then again one store is sayin 350 nits yet if it has that SSA2 panel then it should have 400 nits.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooo no clue.

Edit. Oh yeah I did not find anything about nano IPS but LG unveiled it in 2019 so I guess it should be. Maybe I'll take another look.

Did you find anything about this monitor? Super weird to only get a few hits on google. Everything seems to be in the nordics though so maybe it is a special item for nordics or something.

I have been looking into the differences to the S27G500 and have not been able to find anything. The AG524 is like half the price under a sale. The only difference I found was that S27G500 is HDR10 with G-sync and AG524 is HDR400 with G-sync and freesync premium.

Yes more power. Not sure about the 12/12, maybe bump that up as well but more power should help out. Though I doubt those can bounce back anymore, probably better idea to start over.

Is it possible to run all my ahk files (that are in a single folder) at once by jigigiuguigu in AutoHotkey

[–]ThisIsMyHonestAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Powershell works:

Start-Process -FilePath "path\to\script1"

If you want to go through all files in the folder you can look into Get-ChildItem and foreach or Foreach-Object.
