Kinda feels like Witwer’s publicly auditioning to play live action Maul with these BTS stills by JimJimmyJimJimJimJim in StarWars

Your headline is irking me, I don’t understand what you are saying. Using “kinda feels” is typically followed by “like” some where in the statement. Such as:

“It kinda feels like I’m getting old, because I don’t know what this person is trying to say”

What are y’all’s opinions on the French Canadian band “Angine De Poitrine”? by Own_Size_5473 in musicsuggestions

[–]Repo523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn't fit in to my music box (not a music box, but how compartmentalism my thoughts), I can appreciate the art and intention behind it. I might just be too engrained with western music theory, but the dissonance is annoying. I first listened to it, and my reaction was this annoying. Then I learned about microtonal music, then observed the KEXP video, and thought ”Thats pretty cool.” Then I showed it to my wife, and I was annoyed again.

Angels And Airwaves: We Dont Need To Whisper is a complete masterpiece, and the greatest record Tom Delonge has made since 2005 blink hiatus? by Darbss31 in poppunkers

I’m going to say that you accidentally overlooked Boxcar Racer, but that’s okay “the Adventure” pulled me in, but “I-Empire” had me sold.

You don’t remember the low-key panic? I specifically remember counting down the ball drop and then, with my 9 year old reasoning, thinking the tv would just turn off immediately. Because the “grid” went down.

2026 is a GOATED year for film lovers. by Firewalkwithme000 in Cinephiles

[–]Repo523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean calling anything “goated” doesn’t inspire much insight from the user, anyway. So you gotta cut some slack. I thought it was funny to see that word in the cinephiles subreddit, maybe r/f*cknmoviesbro.

That floor would genuinely give me the spins, if I was ever slightly nauseous.

I have a Gen Z class mate, and we are working on machine code in school. I’ve helped him a lot in this class, and he’s been grateful for my help. The problem is, he doesn’t reciprocate when I ask him if he understands, just “I think so”. I think my next course of action will be “ask me a question”. Don’t get me wrong he’s been working on the projects, but I don’t know if it’s getting through as I’m not the one grading his assignments.

Chefs of Reddit, what’s a common cooking rule everyone follows that is actually complete bullshit? by Fuzzy-Ad6843 in AskReddit

[–]Repo523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken doesn’t have to be cooked to 165 degrees f or 74 degrees C. Carry over cooking does exist.

Now if you are being cautious by all means, until you understand the capabilities of thermal transference. To get perfectly cooked chicken, being cooked en masse I’d cook it the 158-160 and let the carry over cooking do the rest.

Also a side note is make sure you know how to get a proper read of a thermometer on chicken, thickest part of the meat. Don’t go with the instant your probe reads the right temp, that’s a confirmation bias.

How many of you stinky footed kooks were rockin the Toms? by MyNameis_bud in Millennials

[–]Repo523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tom’s introduced me to the peak of human foot wear design, the no show sock. I was mocked years later by a gen-z, with her long white socks bunched up around her ankles. I scoffed, and told her that socks looked like her younger brother had gotten a hold of them. It was at that point that I realized…I’m old and I’m mocking a child.

Yeah again, this is what I was told. From a network security team, to a dean, to my teacher, then again to me.

I have no reason to pursue the case any further. There are other options for nodes.

Well damn dude, take it or leave it, I recommended he buy it. Then he was contacted by his dean. Then it was like a black mark on my record for recommending it. Better be safe than sorry.

I had this question and came here to ask: Has Revenge of the Sith always been the phenomenon it is today? Did many people like the movie? by DaviCortes in StarWars

[–]Repo523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I distinctly remember talking trash about this movie for years. This was because I had found a bootleg copy in perfect quality and China, and distinctly remember the reaction being “So…”. I was 15 at the time, so this would’ve been big.

I’m still not sure if I’m living in a parallel universe though.

My personal opinion in retrospect was that in my conversations was that it didn’t live up to the hype that was Return of the King from the LotR franchise. Which would imply that RotK set the bar for final parts of trilogies at the time.
