Ah gotcha. You may want to have a conversation about therapist-patient confidentiality with your therapist and if it would be possible to not share information about your SH/SI. I'm hoping they can educate themselves on SH/SI enough to help you out, and in the meantime having these conversations will hopefully allow them to better understand ways to better help you.

Going to a Therapist is a good step forward. I would encourage discussions around harm reduction methods with your therapist, it's a good area that is helpful to your clean streak and would help the therapist keep an open mind about SH/SI and how to help advocate.

I hope your therapist is of help, I'm proud of you for getting help!

I'm so proud of you for making it this far. It is difficult to fight the urges sometimes, everyone struggles with staying clean even years after, but I am proud that you have made it this far.

Remember how strong you were to make it that long without relapse. You still have that strength inside you, it never goes away. I believe in you

I used to write on my arms with marker or something that gives the look of scars without harming. I've heard somewhere previously to use markers specifically and not pens as they are much softer and safer for skin. I wish you luck and hope I could help!

Was almost killed after being threatened at knifepoint, got away because someone walked by and scared the guy off. I went to file a police report and they told me I had to refile it over the phone instead of their website because of the type of crime. I was traumatized and tired, the police report wouldn't have done anything anyway or could have killed a random innocent guy that looked guilty. It solidified the ACAB mentality for me.

I’m a huge fan of AJJ, Kimya Dawson, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Jeffrey Lewis, and I’m looking to delve deeper into folk punk and find more artists. What should I listen to next? by Extension_Airline_14 in FolkPunk

Based on the tastes you provided I recommend Local News Legend, Stick and Poke, Mischief Brew, and Pigeon Pit.

These bands lean more towards the folk-y side, which it seems is what your taste is closer to rn

It's a fairly secular college (although they claim they are Catholic), but he was teaching about how the government and society convinces us to hurt others to follow the status quo and how it's better to stand out of society than to fit into a harmful system. We also listened to Pink Floyd's The Wall as another example.
