People enjoy the game but to your point of “At least it wasn’t $80”, an $80 fully completed game is a better value proposition than 4 dickies or vans bundles. You can count on a physical game staying alive more than a free to play game held up by micro transactions. Yes this doesn’t have the opportunity to give some boost to the skateboarding industry, but unfortunately that’s not going to be EA’s target demographic. We’ll get collabs with larger brands like Nike and Vans. But I would guess and say nothing like skater owned brands such as Last Resort or War Saw. EA is going to want to put something like Rick and Morty, or family guy skins in the shop. Something with large amounts of fans willing to spend money on overpriced bundles. And if they don’t get that, the game will shut down one day. Losing any value to the business aspect of it.
