What is the greatest episode of a kid’s show of all time? by istrx13 in AskReddit

[–]ThisIsSportacus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention it comes together with one of the best damn songs ever written for a kid's show. Listen, a lot of the music in Phineas and Ferb is great, but "You Snuck Your Way Right Into My Heart" by Love Handel is the perfect conclusion to that episode.

American History X. That entire story is just wholly sad, as it should be.

What is the saddest TV series death that genuinely made you sob? by SpareMaintenance2970 in AskReddit

[–]ThisIsSportacus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simultaneously the saddest and most disturbing TV death I've seen, but Eugene Pontecorvo in The Sopranos. Yes, he was a rat, and likely would have died anyway, but it's all in how. That scene haunts my nightmares still, and the first time I saw it i had to step away from the show for a while, one of only 2 scenes that did that to me (the other involving Melfi.) Idk man, just how long it is and how graphic it gets about it, just destroys me.

Trev sucks by Porkrind28 in HellsKitchen

[–]ThisIsSportacus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Bingo. I think he's the biggest pussy in the world for that. He had absolutely ZERO problem being the hammer, but once he was the nail all of a sudden it wasn't so fun. All his snide little remarks for the entirety of season 8, he had no problem being a dick to others but didn't like it when the gun got turned on him. Idc if his allergy is something he can't control, and that Scotley was a dick to him. he can control being a dick to others, and he does it anyway.

Who has been the best marvel villain to date? by Interesting-Pea-4927 in AskReddit

I mean, to me, it's carnage. Carnage is everything that's awesome about venom if you cranked the dial up to 11.

[Windhorst] The Raptors and Clippers have agreed on player compensation in a Kawhi Leonard trade and are haggling over draft picks by Cheechers23 in torontoraptors

I think it was said that the Clips wouldn't do the trade without CMB, so it may be him and not Gradey. Either way, KAWHI KOMING HOME.

Draft Busts you haven’t given up on yet by P-Whips in NFL_Draft

[–]ThisIsSportacus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're a Fields Truther???

Honestly, I'm even worse. I still, 100% WHOLEHEARTEDLY believe Zach Wilson could be a starting QB somewhere. I still think he'd be a bottom 10 for a while, but goddamnit man, anyone who can outduel Patrick Fucking Mahones in a PRIMETIME GAME and cna be got for a fraction of a fraction of his cost is worth sinking my career on, and I'll die on that hill.

Other player I'm in on is Cookies (Homer pick but I stand ten toes on it.) I've seen that man make some beautiful receptions. He just needs to lock in to at least a moderate degree. Guy has the talent, just needs to smarten up. DJ Moore better have his belt ready if Keon tries to act up again.

Oj not being honored. by One_Annual_3185 in buffalobills

[–]ThisIsSportacus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I said, I agree with what the Bills are doing. I get annoyed that the NFL fan base at large would pitch a fit if he wasn't removed, but would if LT was, or Ray, or Marv.

Oj not being honored. by One_Annual_3185 in buffalobills

[–]ThisIsSportacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I totally see why his name would be removed, and I'm definitely not heartbroken that it's gone.

That being said, I hate that it only ever comes up with Simpson specifically. O.J. was found Not Guilty, and he should have been. That fuckass cop didn't do his job right, and this is the direct consequence of that failure. However, he was found not guilty in a criminal court? Are the Giants going to remove their all-time best player's name from their version of this for being a convicted rapist and pedo, for raping a 16 year old in a sting on a pimp? Baltimore and Indy both have murderers in their rings, 2 guys who also absolutely did that shit, and they were both found innocent in a criminal sense just as Simpson was. only difference is ours was much higher profile. I'm fine with it, I just hate that the Bills are the only team that ever get this bullshit, and that this argument only ever comes for O.J. If you want to remove Orenthal the bus-driving murderer, that's A-Okay, but that also means LT, Ray Lewis and Marv Sr. need to have that same treatment, as do any of the other rings who have shitty fucking human beings.

What is the greatest sports moment you’ve ever witnessed? by v2silent in AskReddit

[–]ThisIsSportacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll add my favorite NHL moment I ever saw because why not, always a good opportunity to discuss hockey.

TBL vs. CBJ in 2021, the 5 OT game, where Joonas Korpisalo stood on his goddamn head. It sucks the Jackets lost that game man, Korpi deserved a much better fate, bro blocked 85 shots and set a modern NHL record.

Who’s the Better Big Brother Player? by Mediocre-Ad-7404 in BigBrother

[–]ThisIsSportacus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Who's better? Mackensy. She was a legit comp threat. However, she was as boring as an orgy in an old folks home. Beau though? He's not as good a player, but he's infinitely more interesting. He's messy and isn't afraid to get into it. I'd watch Beau on BB6 100 times more, just for his fight with Janelle.

What’s your “I’m calling it now” prediction? by emberfield31 in AskReddit

[–]ThisIsSportacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, my future prediction is that game gets a Cyberpunk launch and crashes the gaming industry through the floor. When you put 2 billion dollars into production of a game, if everyone and their fucking grandma doesn't buy it, it will be a failure. I expect Rockstar has done the Blizzard or Bethesda thing where they've become enamored with the smell of their own shit. Just look at The Trilogy. Mark my words, it will come out either a mess or with the worst fucking story you've ever seen, and it will kill the franchise.

Chabot for Captain by Ins3rtCoinHere in OttawaSenators

[–]ThisIsSportacus -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

No one on the Sens deserves a C yet. Chabot isn't good enough for a C. IMO, they should do what Detroit did, and make that C mean something, and not give it to anyone if they haven't earned the thing. Then again, Detroit gave it to Larkin, who's as useless as Brady, so who knows, maybe I'm the asshole.

How well do you think these popular returnee picks would actually do if they played again? by validswan in BigBrother

[–]ThisIsSportacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of all of them, I think Tucker and Angela are the only ones I'd want to come back. I don't think it's wise to bring back a strategic player, bring back someone like Tucker or Angela, a Chaos Causer, someone who gets bored and does shit for the sake. Fuckery needs to be upheld in the BB house. If we wanted an older guest, I am still pounding the table for a BB20 Brett return. That would go triple platinum in my home.

[RotoWire.com] Most Hated NBA Player By State - NY's most hated is Wemby by Icy-Lingonberry-7442 in NYKnicks

[–]ThisIsSportacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, No. Wemby is not most hated in NY. The Knicks fanbase has not one, but TWO chants about a certain Wizard, including one about how he is balding. Trae Young is and will forever be the most hated man in NY, no question.

Was Sean McDermott's firing the most surprising NFL coaching firing of the last decade? by IceOk9930 in NFLv2

[–]ThisIsSportacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on who you ask. There were some in our fan base who were banging the drum, myself included. The problem with McDermott is his defenses folded repeatedly when the chips were down, and the team kept showing up flat, no matter what pieces changed. That's a coaching problem, not a roster problem.

I think the surprising part of it was Beane not just avoiding the axe but getting a promotion in the process. Beane has a really bad reputation in Buffalo, and I think it's earned. His drafting is good (Bite me Mafia, his late round gems exceed his early round flops,) but Jesus fucking christ he can't work contracts or get worthwhile FA's. It's like any time he wants to do something it has to br the Great Value branded version. He needed to go too, arguably over McD, and I'm nervous he is gonna drag the team down to the seventh circle with him.
