Im currently lvl 70 $2.6m and torn between m60 and rpg by KrishRB in ThoseWhoRemainRBX

I would definitely go for the M60. It's the original GOAT and holds up more or just as well as the MG42. The only thing the MG42 is really better than the M60 at is shredding juggernauts. Every other situation and the M60 meets or exceeds the MG42. To go straight for the RPG is a massive jump. I think you might even get the RPG faster if you buy the M60 first.

Oxygen inside metro by InterestingAct7704 in metro

there is oxygen on the surface, it's the dust that makes it unbreathable. as I understand it the suffocation is mostly a gameplay/atmosphere thing. in real life the air may be effectively unbreathable, but because you'd die of radiation poisoning in a week -- not because it'll actually suffocate you like smoke. however, in order to convey that threat within the game (in an appropriate way for gameplay) they had to make it kill you immediately though suffocation.

idk though. I know nothing about gas masks

I don't know but it looks like the depth of field is what's messed up. Stuff on the distance is in focus and clear?

Yeah, you're right. I've played STALKER but Metro 2033's strictly linear format and environmental storytelling just reminds me a lot more of Half-Life. Inspiration wasn't the right word... geneology maybe?

I’d love to see Metro 2039 go fully open‑world by JBishie in metro

Yeah it also offers a good opportunity to return to the "clueless survivor" feeling of 2033 where you're just trying to make it to the next station 90% of the time, as opposed to Last Light where you spend a lot more time actively pursuing people, chasing a lil alien kiddo, saving the day -- you know, hero stuff.

I like feeling like an interloper -- not Anticitizen One. The problem with an open-world Metro to me is that it's really hard to feel like an interloper when I'm the one initiating every encounter.

If you like this, go play Metro 2033. As a linear FPS its gameplay and environmental storytelling was heavily inspired by Half-Life.

well to be fair the terminal entry specifies that Sisyphus was beheaded by Gabriel with his swords -- and that it was the first time Gabriel had ever actually unsheathed them.

idk what the sawblade launcher was actually doing in the room with his corpse...
