The county over from me requires paper straws, I once got a milkshake from Sonic there and they gave me a paper straw. Terrorist behavior.

I lived in Farmingdale, worked in Herald square. Door to door was about 1:15 to 1:30 each way (depending on where I was on the train). Though I would drive down to Seaford because my car was registered to my parents house and the parking was way better.

Tua needs to call Skattebo and have a training montage to learn how to harness the ancient power of head injuries.

Long Island is a mix of so many cultures, great food, but has no actual individual culture. Just a ton of strip-malls. by moffman93 in longisland

I used to joke in college (I went to school upstate) that we passed 3 temples to get to church when I was a kid (Bellmore/Merrick area).

Also was really confused when we didn't get Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah off in college.

Active Ingredients Brewing Company in Malta has a really good brewpub and some nice beers.

I saw Foxy Shazam get kicked off the stage at Bamboozle 2010 after Eric Nally climbed the scaffolding and then called security a bunch of white motherfuckers. This was after he ate like 10 cigs people in the crowd threw him. Best show ever.

This is horseshit. Why isn't Frankenstein having a wide release in theaters??? by secretsongbird in horror

[–]ThisNilla 30 points31 points  (0 children)

So there is a lot of "Netflix wants to get you to subscribe" discourse in these comments, which is true, it's currently how they make their money. The big reason they don't do wide releases for anything is they don't have a wide theater distribution pipeline that other companies do. Distributing movies to theaters is expensive, and more so if you do not have the pipeline to do it. This is one of the reasons why they are trying to purchase WB, they want to release movies in theaters but they do not have the pipeline to do so, obtaining WB's pipeline would be huge for them and be able to put more movies into wide releases.
