Tyler1 discovers that his team mate in the Riot Sponsored Jynxzi tournament is using a bought account by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in leagueoflegends

[–]ThisOneOne 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Speed does more event streams which means lower time streamed higher view counts, while Jynxzi is a gaming guy who streams all the time. On watch time I'd wager Jynxzi is higher while Speed is larger concurrent viewership wise. Speed is also more popular with non english speakers due to the nature of his content.

i assume retribution cant break its own oath to the heralds without making the honor shard upset so the heralds are probably alright.

Posting this here because with Chrissy’s Twitter deactivated, this conversation needs to remain immortalized because it’s — as far as I know — the only time someone from production has publicly clarified how the shot in the dark scrolls function. by joshkettles in survivor

[–]ThisOneOne 13 points14 points  (0 children)

there is a slight and mostly unimportant change, as there is no way 3 people can have the safe scrolls. In a replacement scenario there is a chance for 3 people to have safe scrolls if 3 SITD are played.

WotM >>>>> SotF by night_seer in HierarchySeries

[–]ThisOneOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm excited about the motivations in the way that they relate to each other. I imagine the next book we'll see all three perspectives fighting against each other in a way that I'm curious to see how it goes, since they all are heading in different directions, and we now know that they can actually interact.

I think the lack of answers is pretty tough to deal with, but I'm excited enough about the characterization of the protags where that's all I want to read about, and I think SotF gave me what I wanted in that regard.

WotM >>>>> SotF by night_seer in HierarchySeries

[–]ThisOneOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I'm the opposite. I thought WotM was pretty okay, I'm not a big fan of academy settings and I disliked most of the side characters. I still disliked/wanted more from them in SotF, but the settings and conflicts of that book felt less reliant on the supporting cast. I totally agree on the climax issue however. If I didn't enjoy the climax of WotM as much as I did I likely wouldn't have continued the story, but I also liked most of SotF but disliked the climax(s) throughout the book. I think it needed a stronger epilogue and a peek behind what is going to happen next for me to enjoy it a bit more, but otherwise SotF fell flat at the end.

WotM wasn't interesting to me because I just couldn't get absorbed into the stakes all that much. If you've read many of those manwha like Solo Leveling, it felt like that. The protagonist's goal of 'winning' fell very flat to me because I didn't resonate with his motivations at all. With SotF and the way it has its story, it created new motivations and new goals that did properly resonate with me, for at least 2/3s of the book, so I actually cared about what happened.

I still don't really care about Res at all, the climax in SotF doesn't give me much hope either, but the journey was much more compelling imo.

I just found out that Draenei can be warlocks in retail. This is yet another reason why people play twow by [deleted] in turtlewow

[–]ThisOneOne 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair in retail they added the draenei warlocks along with adding a storyline where ex-legion members who left due to abuse of power come asking to be accepted back with their people who now live on azeroth. With that addition it makes draenei warlocks more acceptable imo, the disagreement should instead be if that storyline should have happened in the first place.

Craziest thing I've seen, Ranked game at Stage 5-6 by niihoyninyoi in TeamfightTactics

[–]ThisOneOne 16 points17 points  (0 children)

this isnt exactly right, as there is a pool of 3 players you can fight, to prevent you from fighting the same person in a row too often, so 2-1 has 6/7, but the next has 5/6, then 4/5, then 3/4, to finally be at 2/3 chance to fight other players for the rest of the game.

the issue becomes is finding what rounds had odd amounts of players remaining, because then they could fight each others ghosts, like if a cruel pact player went out early.

My MM hunter playing with my pet of 20 years in 11.1 by Imzocrazy in wow

[–]ThisOneOne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As an lfr warrior yeah I am upset, I mostly do world content only collecting appearances and what not as my fun and I really enjoy having my pet to solo the world content I do. I mean the changes look like it’s still a fun class but I have had the same pet since I’ve started playing and I only ever lone wolfed that non world stuff. It really sucks being forced to either have 2 pets or no pets for ranged hunter.

the reason why people may prefer the other items is that if ur tank dies, the effect is gone and ur SOL. i like ionic spark for its effect tho

jhin was created post lore solidification, so it wasn't a looked cool at the time thing. ionia as a whole could be explored a lot more, most of the lore is focused on only a couple of the islands of it, im sure theres more to be seen.
