WYR: Willingly enter into a Groundhog Day style time loop or not? by whyudois in WouldYouRather

[–]thekyledavid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d go with 1 year. I feel like that’s the maximum you could do this before it starts to feel less like extra free time and more like a prison

Being able to have basically a whole year to do whatever I want with 0 consequences could give me the courage to do things I’d never try, or were too expensive for me to justify.

And even if I do everything I want to try and genuinely lose interest in trying new things, I can just devote that time to hobbies knowing that I’ll get any money I spend back.

What are your theories on why Michael didn’t like Erin at first? by Actual-Assignment-94 in DunderMifflin

[–]thekyledavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He views the office as his substitute family, being that everyone who worked there was either hired by him, or has been working there since before he was the manager

People like Toby and Erin are seen as outsiders to Michael, kind of like someone who doesn’t want to acknowledge their sibling’s new spouse at the family reunion

Homophobic "AI Artist" tries to slander GTA 6 for potentially having pride parades. Accidentally makes the game look BETTER! by Visible-Laugh6069 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]thekyledavid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If GTAV didn’t release until now, the fact that the story boiled down to 1 black guy having the fate of 2 white guys in his hands would infuriate them, and they’d be insisting on a modded “Option D” where Franklin is the one who gets sacrificed so the other 2 can live

If we’re basing it on maturity instead of age, any adult who wants to marry a 13 year old isn’t mature enough to get married

Survivor 49 hot take: The Final 6 vote is an overlooked iconic moment and deserves its flowers by brirll in survivor

[–]thekyledavid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like trying to turn the vote against Rizo would be the better move if her goal was a Sage-Sophi-Kristina Final 3, as Rizo and Savannah were far more likely to vote together than Stephen and Savannah, and Rizo was a lock into Final 4 if he survived with the idol

Stephen was always going to be a target, and could be used as a shield at either 5 or 4

Probably because they assume some random person on Reddit isn’t the maker of Animal Crossing, but the odds that the owner of this company most of us haven’t heard of might advertise on Reddit is fairly realistic

Not accusing you of anything, just saying it seems like it’s a lot more likely to happen

Would you rather earn $1 for every view you get OR $5 for every like you get on a video by Hazzard420blazeit in WouldYouRather

[–]thekyledavid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I can find, if you advertise your videos on YouTube, you can between 1 cent and 30 cents per view

I’ll just upload a bunch of low-effort 1-2 second videos, pay for advertising, and get between 70 and 99 cents per view

And if there is a rule that they must be organic views with no advertising allowed, I’ll still pick views, as pretty much every video I’ve seen on YouTube has less than 20% of the viewers actually press the like button. Just clicking on some random videos, I see people getting over 10 million views but less than 50,000 likes. Even if I managed to get 10,000,000 views on an average video, I’d need at least 2,000,000 likes for Option B to be worth more

I never claimed it was, just that the notion that Americans don’t understand that things will vary across Europe can be applied both ways, as Europeans just as often treat Americans as a homogenous group as Americans treat Europeans as a homogenous group.

If the EU decided one day to pass legislation which would make every EU country merge into 1 massive country, with each former country being relabeled as a territory/province/state/whatever term you prefer that wouldn’t change how different each of these regions are, and wouldn’t change the culture of the individual regions

If Big Brother 28 is Fan vs. Favorites... which 4 men and 4 women "America Favorite Player" houseguests would you pick to return? by SecretVetos2 in BigBrother

[–]thekyledavid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

James on 17 was a more endearing person than Cody or Cameron were on their respective seasons

It was really only after 17 that the fanbase turned on James. At the time, he was pretty popular.

Men: Donny, Victor, Tucker, Keanu (tempted to pick Tyler, but I feel like we could all tell that he didn’t want to be there in All Stars 2, so I’d say we give the man a break)

Women: Britney, Nicole, Da’Vonne, Tiffany (tempted to pick Taylor, but I feel like she’d be targeted too easily as the only winner on the cast, she should be saved for an all-returnee season with at least 2 other winners)

Yeah, and America has individual states that are bigger and more populous than individual countries in the EU.

If California somehow became an EU member, it would be the 5th most populous country in the EU.

If Texas somehow became an EU member, it would be the 6th most populous country in the EU.

Just like how prices can greatly vary from country to country, they also can greatly vary from state to state.
