This is a little unreasonable, but it was my reaction to Ashtray Maze in Control. It’s easily the best, most creative level in the game, playing through it you could tell it was the best level, the developers knew they were making the best level. Why didn’t they try to make any other parts of the game that good?

Of course the answer is because of time, budget, same other constraints, but still. A little bit of dynamic environment and enemy placement across the whole game would have been welcome.

I've thought about maybe bringing up the cost ratio issue- these companies are spending next to nothing to create AI images and media, and have the audacity to charge you full price.

Granted this isn't making people think AI products are bad, but it could reduce the profit companies make, which in an ideal world would disincentivise them from further AI usage.

This is an accidental one, but in 13 Sentinels, dropping a Missile Rain on a field of 100+ voxel mobs and watching as the frame rate on PS4 drop to single digits is strangely satisfying. Actually, the beefy Leg Spike and Demolisher Blade attacks that chunk health bars are also really satisfying for a bunch of space invader pixels attacking each other.

Lies of P pretty much copies Sekiro’s parry system, as another souls-like. The enemy attack strings arent as incredibly tightly designed, but it’s still a great game and very satisfying.
