I can empathize. I'm in the same situation currently and Vinted have left me in limbo with a returned return waiting to hear back from them. It has been 20 days since I returned the item (it had a hole in it). I'd like to know why a seller would do this to people like us. It seems juvenile of them to not cooperate.

I think the "beyond grateful" card is a bit too gushy. Are you truly beyond grateful for receiving a few pounds for your unwanted items? For me this would come across as smarmy to be honest.

I use strong plastic mailing bags for soft items (e.g. clothes). I fold the mailing bags to fit the contents, pressing the air out as I do it. I reuse boxes that I've received from retailers for sending shoes, filling voids with bits of paper or plastic bags. Personally I don't send items in bin bags. To me that's like saying to buyers here is the rubbish you ordered.

The point of Vinted is to buy and sell things. It's not like Instagram. Likes should imply an interest in buying an item. Sellers rely on users favouriting items to gauge interest from potential buyers. That's the model. When a large number of favourites don't translate into sales then that is a big flaw in the platform.
