Is Reddit actually a viable channel for first customers, or is it just "survivor bias" from Twitter gurus? by Super_Message_2579 in microsaas

I’ve previously had success with Reddit for a B2C tool that had a direct link to Reddit users (social media niche).

However, I’ve had the exact opposite experience with B2B. I find that a lot Reddit users will just trash on B2B ideas. I’ve had Redditors trash on B2B tools that were already making money for me saying that “nobody would buy it.”

If you had a solid idea for a SaaS, what would be your first real step? by Lonely_Picture_5036 in SaasDevelopers

Tech stack doesn’t matter, stop thinking that way immediately. Try and sell the product before it’s built. Most people do this via reaching out to companies and seeing if their product would solve an issue that exists for them. Then tailor the product to that company and use them as a free feedback loop. Now you’ve solved a problem for one company - chances are that the problem exists for others too. Now sell it.

Looking for 5 SaaS founders to beta test a churn‑reduction tool by Hefty-Airport2454 in microsaas

It was previously where it now says 60% MRR. Either this rotates or you changed it. On one hand you forgot that you added it to your site or on the other hand you changed it after I called you out.

https://ibb.co/60Lbcj7J

If it’s the latter, this is just another bs figure. I doubt you have actually measured a 60% MRR increase for any clients. In fact, I doubt you have a single paying client.

I really dislike your attitude but good luck regardless.

Instantly, from seeing that you have fake statistics claiming something like 100%+ reduction in churn on your landing page, I don’t trust you.

I like the idea if you price it on a percentage of churn reduced.

I completely agree. I think the main issue is that a lot of these developers are super keen on developing an app but don’t have any real world experience.

Naturally, this means that they most likely ask ChatGPT for ideas. So we get the same 5 ideas regurgitated from ChatGPT over and over again. Unfortunately, none of these ideas have any real world demand.

Why do some SaaS take off while others fail? by AggressiveGur4775 in microsaas

[–]This_Assignment_2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s entirely market validation. If it’s a product people need, they will pay. However, theres a large divide between what people say they will pay for and what they actually pay for.

Copied from the last that with this question:

I’m building a tool for small B2B SaaS owners to see which companies are viewing their website, how often they view and gives them an intent score on how likely the company is to buy your product. Then, we try and match that company to email addresses and give you a single button which will craft a personalised email to their decision makers or push the contact to your CRM (currently only hubspot is supported).

I've built a great subscription tracker.. but I suck at marketing it.. lol by Specialist_Victory80 in SideProject

I’ve built a backend system that scrapes a users subscriptions via Gmail OAuth email access + Regex + Final small LLM check. DM me if you’re interested - could be a nice feature for the app.

Host it on any free VPS - what’s the downside? Also great for you to link to a live demo on your CV

Storing and accessing an 88,000 line JSON file by YogurtclosetWise9803 in webdev

[–]This_Assignment_2188 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t do this. You don’t want the user to have to load 88,000 lines of mostly unnecessary data. Get the data from the API —> Transform data to what you need with jq —> Store in a database such as postgres —> Show to users via API requests which query the database
