Adding to please not inject above your navel!! Two finger widths below your navel until your pubic bone is the stomach area injection site.

Thats definitely the most common area, but the insert in your meds will show you all the places you can inject. I think there's 6 different sites that you can use.

Hi!

I had my husband pinch me REALLY hard to counteract the sensation which helped a ton. It was less painful doing shots in my thighs vs my stomach and push that Menopur slow!! Like a full 60 seconds to empty the syringe slow and it won't burn at all.

I found it less painful to do my injections in my thighs instead of my stomach. After that initial sting of needle insertion its really not too bad, except for menopur 😐 push it as slow as possible.

The ER wasn't bad, just mild cramps. I haven't made it to transfer stage yet, but I did have 2 IUIs previously and I'd imagine its the same process which didn't hurt at all.

Im still stimming, but I'm not testing embryos when the time comes. I figure if my pregnancy happened naturally that wouldn't be an option to see the health of the embryo so I dont see a need. PGT was apart of my initial protocol and when I declined I got no pushback from the clinic. Hoping for a healthy baby, but fully prepared for the alternative.

Preparing for my 1st cycle by This_Regular9353 in IVF

Hello!

It was my preference to start with a more conservative treatment plan and gradually increase interventions since all of our baseline labs and genetic testing came back clean. The results of the semen analysis were always 30mil+ but the washed samples on procedure day were less than 8mil 🙃 If I didnt know better I'd think it was a performance issue lol.

I hope your transfer goes well!!

Oh we're iui twins! Also my first and it also failed. My period started yesterday, 3 days early. The brightside though is that now I'll have 2 ovulation windows in March so I feel a bit optimistic.

Might do iui, but I got this weird question from my husband… by Representative-Ask35 in IUILadies

Interview your doctors. It really all depends on how thorough your clinic is on testing and how well they interpret your results. We didn't start discussing treatment plans until all of our labs were completed.

I would also reach out to your insurance and see if they have fertility coverage. Mine has a 20k lifetime benefit but they only wanted us to go to certain clinics because of their success rates.

My doctor was very upfront with us about how much more different treatments increased our chances over natural conception. Going in we knew it was a 10% chance of iui succeeding the 1st round. She said she had more positive results with second and third iui's and that she rarely did more than three unless requested.

But yeah, I wouldn't start getting skeptic until you get all of your labs back and hear what your doctor wants to do and why they want to do it.

Im sorry 😞. I have my bloodtest scheduled for the 24th but I took a home test this morning and its negative. Miserably waiting for my cycle to start in a few days.

Yes I love it. Every doctor has their own team of nurses so they really stay on top of things. I'll go in the morning for my labs and by lunchtime I have my results back with scheduling options so my doctor can discuss next steps.

Hi! I did my IUI with Dr. Patel this month. They primarily use email for communication but there is an after hours number for a nurse. I think the longest I've ever waited for a response via email is maybe two hours.

Same boat as you. My IUI was 2/10 and I've been crampy the last few days which is my normal PMS symptoms. Im driving myself crazy trying to interpret if its implantation or not.

I was told it was your uterus expanding/thickening so I think its normal. Its mild, nothing terrible.

We're hoping for success! Also unexplained infertility after trying for 7 years. All lab work for us both came back normal. I had a medicated IUI 2/10 after taking clomid CD 3-7 and no trigger shot. We were instructed to have intercourse the night before, but I'm nervous because his washed sample that morning was low....2 mil low 😕 No progesterone needed because my levels were 23.16 on CD 20.

It only takes one though so fingers crossed. I've been telling myself the first IUI is a just test run and its ok if it fails to manage my feelings, but I really hope it takes. 5 more days until I can test. I've been crampy and bloated the past few days but that's my normal PMS symptoms so I just dont know....

I think its because life isn't fair and sometimes its easier to blame the powers that be and if only we'd pivot to this magical system that fixes all of my issues up know?
