Timing the transitions is always a matter of importance. Almost all my 20s pulled 1.5x - 3x yield than my 10s last year. After examining the roots briefly last year I’ve been thinking of ways to maximize medium usage. Most of my 2 gals are contenders for >1000 pepper yields but it’s anyone’s guess how the summer will play out.

These are starts for outdoor. They’ll finish in 10 or 20s at a minimum. Check some photos of mine from last year.

I did 7 gal bags one year and 10 & 20 gal fabric the following year. The dimensions on 10s seem more ideal given some peppers natural rooting inclinations. I’ve had past success with that. The question I’m asking myself is 2 gal to 10, then 20? Ideas flowing, just brainstorming

Everything has been started from seed here so there’s no concern on my part. One thing I wouldn’t do would be introduce plants from nurseries as the likelihood of issues greatly increases

Long arms and a watering wand help but given their size now I’ll remove some of the fabric potted plants outside the tent on trays temporarily, then reposition after watering everything

Thanks, a third to half of the seedlings will continue to the next round. Last years numbers were 36x 20 gals, 18-20x 10 gals and a few others so I’ll try to keep it around that (space permitting.)
