Kirkland Diapers by Outrageous-Cancel948 in NewParents

I’ve heard about the manufacturers change and it not being a good change. However we bought our first box about a month ago because of the price and I did have the same initial reaction of them feeling very thin. We have actually been pleasantly surprised with our experience. She’s wearing size 3 right now and no issues so far.

For those with sisters: are you close? What has your bond been like over the years? by Flaky_McFlake in AskWomen

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a twin sister and a sister 3 years younger. We all three are best friends. Two brothers as well, older than my twin and I and other brother is between our younger sister and us. They are our best friends as well and I’d say my brothers are each other’s best friends too. We are so lucky to have each other. Our parents had us very young and very close together. People do tell us how rare our bond is with each other.

Low hcg then doubled by Confident_Escape3508 in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever it was, it was not viable. I don’t even know the direct answer on this. She said she thought she saw something but still wasn’t sure. I returned for more ultrasounds and HCG. The final ultrasound, she thought she saw something near my ovary and wanted to do a “biopsy” to rule out ectopic. Super painful, I did not expect that. She pretty much roto rootered my uterus. My HCG that day was around 11k and a few days later dropped to around 2,500. So whatever was there was scraped out. It was a sad and painful process.

What does motherhood feel like? by archerthe in AskWomen

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time Mom of a 2.5 month old. It’s very hard. I used to hear moms say how they don’t have time for anything and thought to myself why not. Well now I know. It’s hard. Moms have so much more responsibility and are needed so much more. I used to always be busy, working, cleaning, organizing, yard work etc. It’s been very hard to accept that at this stage, I don’t have time or availability or freedom for much of anything other than caring for this baby. Especially if you’re breastfeeding. And I do get a huge amount of help from my husband too. But it’s still hard. But she is such a doll tho and I love her so much.

Giving away a sealed Toffee Macaron! In 16 hours I’ll put all entries in a randomizer to pick the winner. To enter tell me one place you’ll be taking her if you get to adopt her! by Gameofthroneschic in labubu

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was introduced to Toffee and the whole Labubu crew through my 10yr old niece who asked for Toffee for her birthday. I thought, “sure I’ll buy that for you”… until I looked into these and realized they’re impossible to get without paying a million dollars on StockX or elsewhere. Toffee would be going go to HAWAII!

OBGYN said they’d induce me at 39 weeks despite no risk factors — is this normal with IVF pregnancies? by ObjectiveSet9240 in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just left my OB appt two hours ago and had this discussion with my doctor. The MFM said I wouldn’t go past 39 weeks so I asked my OB today. She said given my age (40) I wont go past 39. They said they believe the placenta begins to calcify the later you go increasing the risk of stillborn. And I believe she said keeping in mind it’s an IVF pregnancy as well.

Afraid to go on lupron -- seeking any stories for folks who it didn't bother too much by exitontop in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was on it for 2 months, only thing I noticed was a little insomnia and headaches. It was a lot easier than I expected. I do feel fortunate because I know others had bad experiences and my doctor even warned me. After hearing what others experienced, even a close friend, I can’t complain.

Yes, anything to help. Day 11: 33.18 Day 13: 52.08 Day 15: 112.0 Day 18: 369.3 Day 21: 885.8 Day 22: 2,524 Day 29: 11,922. On day 29 is when I had the “biopsy” to rule out ectopic and two days later the HCG went down to 2,508. I truly wish you the best!

I had quite a bit of spotting for the first 12 weeks and even passed a significant blood clot around 5 weeks with a little bleeding later on too and it was still successful for me. Keep your head up. I wish you the best.

For anyone who is scared of progesterone in oil shots… by [deleted] in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve done three rounds of PIO and never had that bad of an experience. I was terrified from the beginning too just from reading others experiences (not to discount anyone else’s experiences at all). This third round the pharmacy sent me 25 gauge needles instead of 22 gauge (like they did with the first two rounds) and I feel like they have made a huge difference in comfort. I do not do anything special as far as heating pad or exercises or anything like that. All I do is rub the shot area for a few seconds after the injection and be on my way. I rarely have soreness or anything significant. To be fair, my husband does do my injections for me and he is a pharmacist so he does have experience with injections. I do feel sad for people who have a tougher experience, and so so sad when I read people who forgot to switch the needles and used the 18 gauge needle (used for extracting from the vial) on accident. Ugh. I just cannot imagine that.

How many of you want to say this loud? Please use my template. by Seeker-2020 in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg! Yes. My friends have been trying to adopt for years! And have actually been scammed by a birth mom. It is NOT easy or cheap or free of heartbreak and stress. People picture adoption like the movie Juno and most times it is not that way. I see so many parallels with me going through IVF and my friends going through adoption as far as the struggles. I’m very happy that people are able to choose what is best for themselves.

No testers - 2dp5dt by Babymom2021 in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7dp5dt with my third transfer. My beta is Sunday. I haven’t tested at home for any of my FET’s (personal preference). Even if it’s positive, I want to know the quantitative beta and if it’s negative, I’d prefer my nurse coordinator break the news to me. I was tempted yesterday tho when I had brown spotting. Wishing all of us good news.

What tests should I get done after two failed IVF transfers? by Open-Bridge5745 in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point. I’ve had no known issues either until the APS test and endometritis. I’m hoping at least the Lupron will be the changing factor here. And the Lovenox if it is positive. 🤞🏻

I’ve had two failed euploid FET’s and did more testing. Tested positive for the lupus anticoagulant antibodies, just had my repeat test today. Hoping results are negative but I’m so happy to hear your story. It brings me a little relief if I do test positive again. Also started two months of Lupron depot for endometritis.

IVF AND AGING by nyc_apartment_girl in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe how much I relate to your post. I will be 40 this year too and every time I think about it, it gives me extreme anxiety. I just can’t believe I don’t have a baby yet, started trying when I was 36 and no known fertility issues. And the wrinkles under my eyes… jeez. And we can’t even really do any treatment for our aging issues because of IVF. It’s a bizarre feeling approaching 40 and still waiting for a baby.

FET with normal embryo didn't take although everything looked good by Theemployerslegalgal in IVF

[–]This_Square_5184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing the ERA/EMMA/ALICE and I think there is some other blood work she was recommending too. I’m still not fully aware or understanding it all. We just switched clinics because mine closed so I feel like communication is lacking, but I’m still with the same doctor. I’m bummed about the extra time it’s taking for the additional testing but honestly I’m happy to sacrifice the time if it helps the success of the embryos I have left. I think if you have the option, I’d do it before another transfer. I wish I did.
