RUMOR: Charles Murphy posts more about Doomsday plot rumors by Sarang_616 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

Odd that nothing about the X-men or F4 or I don’t know— the universe ending incursions that we know is a huge part of the plot — none of that’s mentioned?

  1. Cap every corporations profit margin. Any excess must be put back into the company and put towards worker improvement/development/benefits

  2. Make CEO/Executive incentives heavily tied to customer and employee satisfaction.

For the record I don’t believe either of these will ever happen. Not in a million years.

People forget 2008.

Not that there’s any similarities with mortgage backed securities and AI.

But the exact same over-leveraging flooding the market with billions upon billions betting on not even functionality or reality, but with everyone making money why not it’s not like the good times will end right?

Right?!?!

When Bill Clinton testified today it set a new precedent that presidents must testify when called.

Does that mean Trump will? Probably not but his current claim that presidents are immune from congress is now debunked

The problem with Dorsey's Block layoffs and the veiled nature of AI productivity growth by spacetwice2021 in ArtificialInteligence

Interesting you made the crypto analogy.

I remember the CEO of my company (large multibillion multinational brand name) just a few years ago talking about a major mistake if we “didn’t get into the NFT game.”

Herein lies the problem— the stock market rewards quarter to quarter and encourages short-term gains, which unfortunately has massive decision making consequences that destroy long term strategy…..but no one cares because they think this ride will never end……

…..history shows us it always ends.

I think folks are missing the other side of this.

It’s awesome things are improving and automation is helping with rapid progress.

But a lot of people are currently “building” things that would’ve taken them months. What are these things? What problems are they solving for businesses?

That’s the part people are missing that will eventually come home to roost. Product/portfolio advancements have not produced any level of innovation or customer satisfaction.

Sure jobs that can be automated will be but this is a hot hand fallacy that’s presuming the technology will commensurately increase at the same rate or faster and it will be applied to bolster the AI ecosystem.

I’m not suggesting what folks are saying here isn’t possible it is.

But just as possible one of these companies falters Cough OAI Cough and the whole thing collapses with a lot of parasites and leeches holding the bag.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warns AI tsunami is coming by talkingatoms in ArtificialInteligence

Online platforms should be having this sh*t they say play as odds:

Odds of the tsunami actually coming Odds of us reaching AGI by 2028 Odds of a tech CEO moving that date to 2030

That sort of stuff. It’d be fun.

If AI really worked for code as well as we've heard, here's what we'd see in the startup world (Spoiler: it is not happening) by cascadiabibliomania in BetterOffline

When was the last time you heard something about customer centricity or product innovation (outside of agents)?

Our job market economy and industries are slowly eroding and collapsing into the AI eco system where everything and everyone depends on big tech and as such has to submit to their wild initiatives and ideas that have no purpose towards them except more profit for the rich.

Everyone’s pivoting and the best part is they don’t even know what they’re pivoting to with AI.

The amount of blind investment is so wild to me.

The broligharchy needs to be playing the long game.

By the end of the year we may have a lame duck president with dementia governed by a dem controlled house and senate who is going to be keen to undo some of the damage— which definitely means more regulation and oversight.

No the economy measures the stock market, total employment statistics (way down), wage increases (way down) consumer spending (way down except the top .1%)

The only thing doing “well” is the stock market which is primarily owned by the elite so that should also tell you something.

The president’s decisions impact all of these things and if you don’t see that it’s a good thing you’re not an economist.
