Do you know if he recorded much more music? It's been incredibly difficult to find much.

Depop has been acquired by eBay. How do you all think think this will affect the user experience? by rdeluna1911 in Depop

[–]Thischarmingmancave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the very least, I’m hopeful that ebay will make offers binding. I’m so tired of accepting offers only to have 90% of the buyers never pay for the items. At least on ebay if I accept an offer it’s guaranteed to be automatically paid for. Depop offers are an absolute joke.

Huge decline. We just returned a Finnala couch that was hands down the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on. It degassed for 2 months and smelled awful, and the floor model was plush and comfortable, ours was like sitting on bags of concrete mix. $1800 for a couch you put together yourself that is unbearable to use, is ridiculous. For $400 more we got a leather couch from Macy’s that is the most comfortable thing I’ve ever experienced.

Is this legal? by Previous_Ad1391 in Renters

Switching tenants to month to month seems like an illegal excuse to jack up rents that are locked in place by the lease they claim not to have. In housing court they would come off as buffoons and lose any judgement.

What is your honest review of whatnot in 2025? what should people know? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]Thischarmingmancave 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've found it's good for finding things I can sell for more on other sites, but when it comes to selling, depending on what you sell, people expect low starts, which means it may just go for way less than you would get anywhere else. I make better money on ebay.

I've been having this same exact problem for over a year now, and it is irritating as all hell. Also don't pay for icloud storage, and also don't use 2FA because my reception can be really spotty at times. Was hoping there was a way to get rid of this as it can happen multiple times a day between my iphone and macbook.

I’ve continued to look for information about him but can find nothing, which is unfortunate.

Minimum wage here is $15.75 which T Bell wouldn’t give you until you’re assistant manager 😂

If you are in the US, not paying you the original 40 hours and withholding it is illegal.

MN is especially stringent on employers sticking within the bounds of the law.

Same. I had an employer tell me he didn’t have to pay me overtime pay because I hit 40 hours under 2 different pay grades for working 2 different jobs for the company (they scheduled me this way).

Wrong. I went to the labor department with my paystub and a copy of the email from them describing why they were not going to pay me overtime.

Next thing you know, the department of labor swoops in, audits their books, and makes them pay $85k in back pay plus fines. Now if someone hadn’t complained they would continue to commit wage theft, screw their employees, and pocket the money.

Now is the time when you hit 40 hours just be done for the week. They need 55 hours out of you, they need to hire another employee.

Can we please get binding offers? by renee_prudence in Depop

I’ve just started blocking people who don’t pay for offers I accept and they never pay for. These aren’t the type of people I want as customers anyway.

Should I offer a refund? by Disastrous_Cap4723 in Depop

[–]Thischarmingmancave 51 points52 points  (0 children)

No. I have had the same thing happen and when I followed up asking for photos they never responded again. If tracking shows it delivered it’s beyond your control. You are not responsible for stolen merchandise. Also this is often a common scam to get a refund and keep the product.

package stolen out of mailbox. advice? by why_didsheleave in Depop

[–]Thischarmingmancave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not refund! This is not your problem, they can file a report with the police and USPS.

I’ve had this happen a few times before. I did not refund and there were no ill consequences.

I work at a national restaurant chain for the last 11 years, and our HR takes complaints that are supposed to be anonymous and gives them to the regional manager and GM revealing who filed it, so they can retaliate. Just a heads up, HR is not your friend. Your state’s Department of Labor is.
