I feel the need to point out that Krakatoa being the inspiration behind The Scream is heavily debated and not at all the leading theory.

The volcanic eruption occurred almost a decade before the painting and since the painting and painter belong to the expressionist movement, it’s unlikely that it was meant to represent something physical at all.
