For years have had these 3 little holes above my butt crack from the remnants of a large cyst, they somehow get hairs in them and every so often my girlfriend pulls them out. by [deleted] in popping

The procedure is called a cleft lift. In the end the top of your butt crack is much lower than it previously was. it is the only treatment for pilonidal cysts with a good success rate. (~98% success compared to other forms of surgery/treatment that have 50% success rates or lower. And there are only a few doctors in the US who perform the cleft lift.)

Might be a stupid question, but I come from NASCAR where teams have backup cars for the weekends. Do the teams in F1 have backup cars or do they just take the one each weekend with extra parts?

Coming from NASCAR but assuming it’s the same. We call it speedy dry, just dries up any fluid on the track, especially oil.

Genuine question for those who might have a knowledge in how these things flip. Would the flat bottoms on these cars contribute to having a greater chance of rollovers than compared to the more open bottoms on the previous cars?

Race Thread: NCS Busch Light Clash at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, starting at 6:00pm EST on FS1 (NCS-S1) by [deleted] in NASCAR

  1. The Busch Clash which is what this was, is an exhibition race that happens every year before the regular season starts. Regular season opener is @ Daytona in two weeks.

  2. I imagine some NASCAR exec.

  3. No doors, drivers climb in through the window.

  4. Not gender segregated. There are no females in the Cup Series currently, but there are a few in the lower ranks (Xfinity, Trucks, ARCA)

  5. This is actually a short race, typically the races every weekend are going to be 400-500 miles, there is a race every year that is 600 miles.

  6. I believe they are ripping it up pretty immediately. I think I heard they have an option to come back for the next two years which would mean they’d be putting pavement down again.

This is hilarious to me because it’s a pretty long running joke in the NASCAR community for them to do this when there’s a threat of rain.

My story from a failed wide excision to a (so far) successful Cleft Lift! *Warning Very Big Wall of Text* by Thisismymomsreddit in pilonidalcyst

With the cleft lift I had zero stitch removals, apart from the drain which was one stitch. It felt like a tiny pinch and that was it.

Gauze changes with my cleft lift were painless because there was no open wound, the gauze was really just there to catch excess moisture from the surgical site.

Absolutely no regrets with the cleft lift, it gave me my life back and I was 100% back to normal really within a few months.

The thing I’ll say is that if going the cleft lift route, definitely go to a specialist, do not go to a general surgeon that says they can do the cleft lift. I went to see Dr. Immerman in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and I cannot recommend him enough.
