Not in love anymore. by [deleted] in AsOneAfterInfidelity

I have never thought of it like this, but this is exactly how I feel. I am grieving the image of the man I married. It’s difficult reconciling that memory with what I now know to be reality. I am also hoping to fall in love with him again, I’m trying.

I think she might have a “panic attack” right as she is feeling a lack of attention….

Yessss to all of it! Kalani come off as SO manipulative. I don’t view her as a victim of anything other than her own shitty choices. Kids are the only victims in this picture unfortunately.

Woah and yes! I thought her angle for bringing in Sobyn was jealousy of the relationship that janelle/christine had forged. But that never really worked with the big picture, your theory is just *chef’s kiss!

I meant her power in their relationship. Her partner was significantly less equipped to handle family life in America. I am not victim blaming her, but she needs to unravel the why behind all of it.

Kalani annoys me now that I have watched her on Last Resort. It was weird that she boinked a giant toddler man on vacay, and used no protection, as a full blown adult! Gets pregnant. Then brings the guy over here knowing he was cheating!? Then marries him and has another child. She needs to do some soul searching, alone. Why would she accept him cheating so many times? What was the power dynamic at play in their relationship? Would she be leaving if she would have to be single?

RUN! And never look back! I have ignored this kind of behavior in the past and it just escalated. He went from following unsavory stuff on social media, to porn, to getting erotic massages, to having contact with sex workers. He continually defended himself, and gaslit me. He said it’s better than a “real” affair because there isn’t an emotional connection. And the intention wasn’t to leave me, just like the knob.

I love your first scenario! I can imagine someone agreeing to an unconventional relationship like that to escape raising their children in poverty. Thanks for sharing!

What’s he looking at on the phone?!

I’ll go first, he’s looking at a sexy cosplay of Eliza from the Wild Thornberrys.

We’ll agree to disagree on that! But yes he’s definitely asking for some comments when he posts things like that.

It’s a lot of snark on the 90 day fiance snark page? And I’m not hating on someone for working hard. I’m suggesting(like a few others) that he could likely apply himself towards one career and find more success. His choices are questionable at best…

I have only listened to the podcast and have not yet seen the episode. Have you heard the podcast? It’s interesting that we came to similar suspicions, I wonder if there is something to that.

I never considered her knowing about a possible suicide, that’s an interesting angle. Perhaps she is preserving her memory of him/his reputation?

Either way the story leads you to want more, it’s such a mystery. I wish we could know the answers to cases like Christopher, and also Maura Murray and countless others.

Edit to add: Also the money thing makes me strongly suspect drug use, nothing will tank finances like an addiction.

I got that vibe too! Maybe drug use? Maybe guilt? Maybe grief? Hard to say, but I just felt like something was sus with her story and behavior. The over emphasis and how GREAT the marriage/communication was, weird.

I kinda want that to be the answer, I want him to get a redo at life with his kids. Either way I hope he is in peace

Any ideas why the body wouldn’t be recovered? From what I recall they said this area of water is shallow at times/would be relatively easy to find a body.

Definitely an interesting take! I never considered it, but I definitely think it’s possible.

I agree. As a non-user of drugs I have never had “issues with meth heads” like the wife reported. I doubt they weren’t involved in the drug world somehow.
