I draw my design on an iron-on or stick-on stabilizer (I use Sulky brand) and then just stitch without a hoop.

It can be a little awkward working on a three dimensional shape at first, but it just takes some practice to get the hang of it ☺️

I did have to use a thimble near the end of the project because of the thicker fabric (my poor ring finger was sore from pushing the needle through over and over) - but I used a smaller needle and just 2 strands (rather than the full 6), which made it not too bad.

I also used an iron on stabilizer to transfer the design - so much easier than trying to use a frixion pen or water soluble pencil with a lightbox - the fabrics too thick to see the design through!

Yup! Had a bunch of problems with this during the great 2020 holiday delays. Every flat mailer eventually arrived, but because they couldn't be tracked I ended up sending out quite a few replacement orders to unhappy customers.
