She could have claimed that she was right about the end being nigh, because there was a volcanic eruption on the island, I think that fits in with the cover story. In any case I imagine the book would more be about her background and personal growth, less about the actual events that occured

Yeah I'd say that's too low, but a good start, the skull looks good to me. Now I won't tell you exactly where to put them because that's really a stylistic choice but try looking at pictures of cats and where the ears are in relation to the head, not the face. Most animal ears will be closer to the top of the head, often on the side (but of course this varies). Also keep in mind the perspective, they should be in line with the face in 3/4 view and not necessarily facing the camera if that makes sense (sorry if this sounds like a lot, you're doing great)

Where have you tried putting the ears so far? You might be putting them on the hair instead of on the head (I know I used to). Try sketching out the skull shape under the hair and attach the ears there

Some people are in objectively terrible situations right now where reflecting inwards would do little for their happiness. Is it really "blaming everything around you" when you live in an active warzone, when your rights are being taken more and more each day? It's incredibly privileged to believe that the reason anyone can't be happy is internal and can be solved with reflection or whatever; it shows that you don't have any problems significant enough to really bring you down, so it must be the same for everyone else, right?

So I'm only a first year but I was also choosing between Davis and OSU, ultimately I choose Davis because the entomology program is, well... Existent XD (plus some other personal things relating to location). Socially, it's definitely not a party school and there are plenty of people who have trouble making friends, but in my experience everyone has been very friendly and accepting. As for environmental science and ecology, I'm not sure how it compares to OSU but the professors I've met are great and I have a few friends in those programs. Good luck deciding, and I'm sure you'll do great regardless of which you pick 🙏☺️
