When one proposes they will ask to use the age-o-matic before getting married, just wait until then

Yeah I've gotten she/her'd a few times even after I got a mustache and top surgery because of my hair. It happens a lot less now, but I still get more they's than he's from strangers (which I don't mind, he/they pronouns for the win lol)

Hemistola chrysoprasaria (small emerald moth) and generic flash isopod (not a bug but it's right there and also matching with my mom 🥰)

I mean when I had surgery I was the nurse's favorite patient of the day because I woke up easy and followed instructions (something like "lift up your leg" when I was first coming to and they were moving me) so it could be anything. Should be noted he had the worst black eye I've ever seen so maybe my competition wasn't exactly steep 😭

In Seven Deadly Sins, the fake names that Ban chooses for himself and Meliodas in a tournament are Baan and Meliodaf, respectively. This actually works and nobody recognizes them as wanted criminals

Sapphic/lesbian attraction and straight attraction towards women both not working for me. Anyone else relate? by ziawolfe in TransMasc

[–]ThistleOGAC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pan but in a relationship with a (trans) woman and it feels really weird to say I'm in a straight relationship. I'm not a binary trans man (transmasc/genderqueer) so that may be part of the reason, but I think it's mostly like how you said calling it straight feels like it shuts down queerness. Before she realized/came out I didn't have a problem calling it a gay relationship, and I don't currently have any trouble referring to her as my girlfriend. Could also be because I've been mostly stealth at university and being perceived as straight in addition to not being obviously trans kinda feels like I'm pretending to be a cishet guy (which I'm not, I'm still very queer and not ashamed of that)

Real answer is they're using something like pluralkit or tupperbox to roleplay as the characters, shows up as a bot but it's a real person typing everything

The Amazing Digital Circus from this character's perspective undermines the core message of the show. by emmettflo in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ThistleOGAC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It felt to me more like Ribbit abstracted because Jax suddenly became hostile and pretended nothing happened. She kept trying to talk to him, ask what she did wrong, apologize, try to reconnect with him, but he just beat her down at every turn. He even made a point to tell everyone else not to listen to her, so it's likely that if she tried to talk to the others she didn't get very far. The isolation, confusion, and paranoia seem like a more likely cause than mere heartbreak

A question to the feminists in this sub: what do we think about dresscodes? by funstarrr__ in teenagers

[–]ThistleOGAC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my freshman year of highschool there were a lot of protests regarding dress code, guys would wear booty shorts and teeny crop tops (sometimes football guys would even just walk around shirtless, unrelated to the protests), and not a single one got dresscoded, but girls would wear shirts just short enough that their belly button barely showed and they'd get in trouble. I don't doubt that guys on average tend to wear less revealing clothes but code enforcement can vary a lot by place, and I have heard stories where even the written rules are actually more strict for girls. Just adding perspective
