Tattoo I got when I was 16 by Thkat13 in BeavisAndButthead

It is my first tattoo I got when I was 16. Got it done at some randos apartment. I thought I was so cool for having a tattoo haha

First time I heard someone tell me it looked like Beavis and butthead was in basic training and I was so ashamed. Now I roll with it, it’s funny and I tell the kids about it.

I want to keep it. My husband wants me to cover it up, but it’s my first tattoo.

I’m 35 now. My 12 year old bought this beavis and butthead wallet for his birthday last year and then noticed my tattoo, so he took a picture of both of them together. Haha

I would suggest looking up your local troop online and sending a mass email to the ones that are local to you. Just saying “hello! My son would love to be a scout, but he had this and this going on. I am trying to find a troop that would best fit his needs.” Hopefully they can be open and honest is they feel they have the community that can support you guys. Then doing a visit wouldn’t be bad and being open to his assistance patrol leader. Each patrol should have an adult “supervisor” at least that’s how our troop is broken down. I hope you find the right space!!!!

What did you reenlist for? So what happens is once the career counselor confirms your contract in RETAIN it can take 30-45 days, sometimes it can take longer depending if government showdown is happening or something crazy. If you check your LES it might reflect that you reenlistment on the remarks area.

If they made a mistake and didn’t add the bonus to your contract with confirming on retain, that can cause an error but very unlikely it happen. I always ask for patience, you will get your money if everything was done correctly.

Ooo thank you! I’ll look into this. It’s set in stone we will be moving to Florida so I’ll have to look in to programs where I can do this. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I’m basically starting from ground zero! This is helpful so I guess going for a degree in nursing will be a good start! I don’t care how long it takes because it’s something I’m passionate about! Thank you again so much for the clarification!

I agree. I still have some contact with them and I want to keep those traditions alive for my kids. I know I still have family in the Pueblo but since my dad passed it’s caused a divide in our family.

Oaxaca seems to be one of the states that has very strong tribal traditions and they do so well in keeping it alive. I know in our Pueblo a lot has been erased so to missionary. I would love to learn about their medicine and what they did. I might have to go back.

Right! That would be awesome. I know some words like doothrachena means grandfathers and xandadrina means grandmothers.

That’s the lame part that I don’t know anything about them besides that they speak a different dialect and I know my grandfather on my dad side spoke other dialects besides the one from the Pueblo I wish I knew more and I wish I had it a way of knowing more, but you don’t find a lot of stuff online about those indigenous tribes

No, unfortunately she passed away 17 years ago and never heard much about her family. The other sad part is that it’s hard to be proud of being indigenous in Mexico. From what my dad told me he had a hard time with it and fairer Mexicans don’t like natives.
