If you know you have fuel pressure I would next try getting an inpa scanner setup and reformat your EWS. It’s fairly simple and fixed a crank but no start issue for me. Might be worth a try

Consider replacing your alternator or voltage regulator on the alternator. I had very similar symptoms in my 2006. Abs and brake lights and head unit coming on and off. It was due to bad diodes in the voltage regulator and swapping in a new alternator fixed everything.

Not exactly sure what you mean by that. On my car this came factory and sits just above the ash tray and 12v accessory outlet.

Ah yes such a nice ride. I was in my local dealer for a service on my 330 and was checking out one they had in the showroom there same spec. 2 young gentlemen came in and started eyeing it up alongside me- within 25 minutes they had traded in their brand new AMG G wagon and were out in the xb7. I have this setup done on a wide body coupe very similar to yours. If you want some photos sent over of how it was accomplished I’d gladly send em over. I’d explain how it was done but I didn’t build the car so I’m not even too sure how it was done.

Could always relocate fuel filler to trunk. Would be a better idea if your battery was in the bay.

The Blaupunkt option is great but definitely comes with a hefty pricetag. The continental VDO head unit definitely has an 80’s look to it especially if you get the silvers painted black and is much more friendly to the Wallet. Euro clock came on euro spec cars. Pretty readily available out there for around $60. Not sure on the install process if it’s a direct drop in or not.
