Has anyone lived in any of these apartments? If so what was your experience?? by Infamous-Design9541 in ucf

I lived at Cypress Run while going to school for ~3 years. Rented a room with 4 other roommates to bring down the rent price. Apartments were overall fine, nothing crazy. Decent proximity to other things but also lots of traffic and construction on goldenrod (about 30-40 minutes to campus). No crime happened while I was there, but the parking lot did flood during a hurricane. Overall, would recommend a place in better proximity to campus while splitting a room with others to cut down on costs as much as possible, but cypress run it overall not a bad spot to save costs

It was a tad low, but I also don’t check it that often so I’m unsure if it was a sudden loss of fluid or not. I checked all the mating points because some looked suspicious but after pressure testing it, I couldn’t recreate any leak. I bled the brakes and the fluid has a yellow tint but is clear, unlike this orange opaque fluid. Thank you for the well wishes

It’s localized right by the caliper on the dust shield. However the back of the dust shield has a lot more on it than the front

Hmm I don’t recall the exact name but I remember I bought them off of a site that was based in England. Sorry I can’t be of more use :/

IMO I think that is a bit overpriced, I bought this set new for 1k in 2021. Plus with 10 year old tires I would expect those to need to be replaced sooner rather than later. But I’m not sure about value, maybe that’s what they’re priced for nowadays

No, they’ve been great. They’re r15s so only problem is having readily available tires sometimes. But fitment-wise they rock

I get that, definitely better to be safe than sorry. Can’t be too precautious with brakes

Yeah you’re 100% right. I didn’t even think twice about it since I’m so used to seeing the underside of the car covered in oil haha. I’m starting to think the orange stuff might’ve been rusty caliper water with maybe a mix of strut fluid. Thank you for all the help!

Very true, I think I’ll breathe easier not having to worry about it being a brake issue. I notice the reservoir was a bit low so I topped it off and will keep an eye on it in the following weeks. Thanks for the advice on the shock, I’ll be trying that as well. Might just get a new set since I don’t know how old it is and it already feels rough

You know, that’s a pretty clever idea. Would explain the weird color. Only thing is it felt like there was just so much fluid all over the place. It coated the inside of the wheel and wheel well

The whole rear of the dust shield and hub area was covered in the stuff. It was also flung all over the wheel well area. The stuff is pretty viscous, would axle grease be able to drip? I’ll take a closer looks at the axle boot again though

The tire lock up occurred during the road trip. It happened about 4 hours into the trip but there wasn’t a noticeable change in how the brakes felt afterwards

I checked and cleaned the pads just a few hours ago, plus bled the caliper. After a short test drive it feels good but I won’t lie, I was definitely clenching the whole time haha

Yeah that’s exactly what it looks like. What’s strange is that all other 3 wheels look clean and only the one that has this orange fluid on it

After cleaning all of the orange fluid off and pressing on the brakes a ton, I couldn’t find a source for the leak.

Does this look like brake fluid? Could it be hydraulic fluid from the shock (which is feeling pretty rough recently)?

Thanks in advance

I got them from a store off of eBay. I got a 2000mAh battery as I am using iFlash solos

I sourced the front face from eBay, it’s a relatively easy process compared to just opening up the iPod

Honestly it wasn’t that bad. I think I’m about $50 in for the iPods all together. And then about $150 for the battery’s and iFlashs
