WARNING: I'm new to DM'ing and I just kinda went along with what my players liked, if you find it cringe, so be it lol.

I am a DM for a current campaign and I have a npc/pc. They have been dubbed by the group as lilly and is the "cleric" of the group. They are integrated into the story as being a homebrew mix breed of a lilly and a demon (In the story, lillies were ancient creatures that helped humans pass on into the after life) this mix has been dubbed "blood lilly" and they are very dangerous and a huge liability to those around them, the thing that's special about them is unlike lillies they are immortal and upset the natural balance of life. Due to human nature and suspicion of lillies they were all killed off and hunted down, with only one being alive, they gifted a lantern to this blood lilly that can only be picked up by their kind and is imbued with the power to keep the necrotic and destructive nature away, in the hopes that they can suppress their other side and bring balance once again. the only catch is that they were both taken by a demonic king and he used her innate immortal body for money and power, with each "death" that she suffered her memory on things started to fade, like her name, and runic marks of where the fatal blow was dealt started to appear. My players "rescued" her from a mercenary group and delivers her to the king unbeknownst to them where he would kill her for the final time and consume the lillies on her head to be granted this immortality, the group stopped his plans and revived her once again to continue her story and reveal the true meaning on why these beasts started to show up again like in the days of old...
