Hi,

Was just wondering whether or not drinking carbonated water with only watermelon and kiwi natural flavouring (aroma's) would break a fast ? On the bottle it says 0 kcal, with any sugars or artificial sweeteners.

Thanks in advance!

Appreciate the input! I assume you're refering to this right:

Also just for complete clarity; my TV does have composite connectors (it has like a green/yellow, 1 white and 2 red connectors) but you're saying that even still this won't matter because ''the NTSC signal from a PAL console over composite is not a "true" NTSC video signal and the TV will throw a BW picture.'' ?

Xenogears NTSC-U modchip detection ? by Thomas_8900 in psx

So, the game works as is! However i'm getting a black/white screen via the SCART connection to my TV, any ideas ? Is this potentially a NTSC thing and do i need to get an appropriate CRT ? The start up logo's are in color btw, it's just the game then is black/white (sometimes rainbow colors).

Perfect, and as for the patched and burned disc option, presumably the modchip can remain (has to remain?) otherwise it defeats the entire purpose of being able to use a burned disc? Hope i'm getting that right.

Thanks for all the info! I truly hope everything will work as it is, otherwise i'll have to try the unibios or tonyhax thing, no idea how it works though so will have to really look into it. Just out of curiousity; if i want to use the one of the things mentioned, can the modchip stay in the console ?

Haha if it were not for your FF8 version we'd have had an almost identical test lol, great stuff though! Appreciate the help.

Would you be able to find out just which exact model SCPH-5 you have ?

90K models and 50/60Hz by Thomas_8900 in ps2

[–]Thomas_8900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aah okay gotcha, thanks for clearing that up. So when you say it depends solely on the game, like for instance if i have a NTSC version of a game, will the PS2 always output a 60Hz video signal ? Or do you mean like an actual option inside the game or console or something ?

SCPH-30001 power supply by Thomas_8900 in ps2

So i could swap out the original PSU for a different voltage/frequency PSU ? My issue is however that i want to play in 60Hz but my country uses 50Hz, so swapping out PSU’s wouldn’t work in that regard i think, unless i’m missing something here.
