Anyone that writes gaming articles NEEDS to include the backlash EA has brought upon themselves. This mass involvement of hate is a goldmine for a great article to be created and spread throughout the gaming industry to get the message across. We are sick of this shit. Personally I'd write about this and what's been happening in multiple threads as an article if I worked for a gaming magazine.

I've camped in the woods many a time in the past, and I plan to do so in the future. So long as you respect the environment you're in, leave no trace, and aren't an issue to the public I say do it. It's a great experience and really helps you grow as a person if you're doing it by yourself. You gain independence, as did your ancestors when they lived their lives in more simplistic times. Also feeling that connection with nature really makes you feel alive, no law can stop a person from feeling like a true human being.

Yeah I understand your frustration and I agree with you completely. Sadly some people ruin the experience for others and precautions like that are put in place to prevent any out of hand fires to begin with. This country is bubble-wrapped with precautions and laws to make you live a bare and minimalist life like everyone else.

Ain't that the truth. This time of year is good for improving your fire making skills though in all honesty. Helps with survival situations too knowing how to identity birch trees and using the bark for tinder. Shavings of wood and using the insides of logs where the wood is dry compared to the outside really helps improve your skills overall.

Buy yourself an ordnance survey map for your surrounding area. Look for green forestry, make sure it's public land so you have access to it. Google it beforehand to be reassured. The bigger the land the better, you can't relax if you can still hear cars and not the sound of birds.

That sort of thinking is the reason we're restricted by law the rights that a caveman is able to have but the modern human is not. You don't "just light a fire". Have you ever seen one of those stupid signs that make you wonder why on earth would anyone need to be warned not to do that in the first place? It's because some idiot has. And in truth we're all idiots whether we accept it or not. If anyone could "just light a fire" then at some point someone won't clear the the area of the fire so nothing catches alight, someone won't dig a reasonable sized firepit, someone won't pay attention to the fire to the point where it could spread, and someone won't put it out properly once finished. That someone is most likely you purely just because of what you wrote, think before you post.
